Stainless vs glass
Product works great! Works well with Silk Almond creamer and my coffee turns out delicious! I like the simplicity of it, one button. We originally had the glass pitcher however it cracked without even a bang to it. Very thin glass. The stainless pitcher is much better anyways, theres no glue coming from the base because it’s one solid piece vs glass pitcher always had a weird residue in between the glass and base. The stainless pitcher also seems to froth much better than the glass. If you’re on the fence on which one to get - bypass the glass for sure!! Glad we upgraded!

Matcha latte or hot chocolate, both are perfectly mixed and heated
Scorching milk to the bottom of a pan and still having lumpy hot chocolate or a matcha latte is a thing of the past for me now. This unit, when used correctly, makes a perfectly mixed drink with just the right amount of foam. The spinning whisk is a bit like a blender blade that makes drink powders notorious for clumping into the smoothest drink you’ll get. Even better than anything from one of those brand name coffee shops. I love the glass top that comes off for easy cleaning, and I like how simple cleaning is as long as it isn’t allowed to just sit after making my drink. It takes seconds to rinse, wash, and set in the dish dryer.

Perfect daily lattes for 16 months now
I have been using this frother daily for 16 months and it’s still giving me perfect breve lattes. I get up, pour the half and half to the lower max line, make my espresso, start my partner’s drip coffee, then turn around, pour the espresso into the frother along with the half and half and I have a lovely, foamy, perfect cup that fits my hot Stanley cup exactly. And fyi, no, I’m not one of those Stanley water bottle women; this is my anti-spill-I-have-ADHD-and-I’m-a-klutz cup. lol. Obviously if you prefer, you can pour the espresso directly into your cup, but I prefer mine mixed. My son moved back in to go back to school a year ago, and he also makes a daily latte with milk. Every Saturday my partner likes a cold, whole milk latte and it works amazingly for that too. When my other kids visit they make themselves hot mochas, or hot lattes and my vegan kids do that with soy milk or almond milk. This frother has gotten a lot of use and still works perfectly. I know you can get a battery powered frother for less money, but this is hassle free. You just pour it and forget it until it beeps, which is about 3 or 4 minutes, and you never have to worry about burning the milk. Protip - if you love foam like me, pour it off and drink it immediately.I even bring this frother with me when I go out of town (except camping). For a wonderful, hotel latte that’s way better than Starbucks, I pre-make the espresso (I’ve done 3 days worth), put it in a jar, store it in the hotel mini-fridge, with some milk or half and half, plug in the frother and easily make it in the morning. In this case, since I want a hot latte and have cold, espresso, I put the espresso in a bit earlier so it will also heat up and not just to mix it.I actually had never made at-home lattes before I bought this. I was a drip coffee person unless I was buying at a coffee shop. I don’t like black coffee, and I always added cream and sugar, but then I needed to cut back on carbs/sugar because of health reasons, so I decided to try this, and now I would never go back. I do not have a lot of time or patience before work, and this makes my morning coffee ritual easy and lovely. It’s probably saved me a lot of money since I prefer it over the occasional Starbucks latte.

Works well
Edit 6/2020:I still love my frother, but wanted to add a note. If you purchase this, do yourself a favor and buy the extra disks at the same time. In May, less than a year after I had purchased the frother, I found that the heating disk was not working properly and was moving much slower than normal, until one morning, it wouldn’t move at all. (I don’t use the frothing disk because it makes way too much froth, so I pulled it out to see if it worked, which it did. Examining both disks, I found that the bottom of the heating disc was very worn down. With the magnetic spin, it made sense. So after a certain time (and as I mentioned in my original review, I use it a lot) it wears down to where it doesn’t make proper contact and won’t spin. While I waited for the replacement set to arrive, I played around with the frother disk and cut off all the little ‘legs’ and used that. It still made more froth than I wanted, but it wasn’t a big deal and it worked well as a substitute.I have used Secura Frothers for several years. I make a hot cocoa type drink with raw cacao powder at least once a day, and usually twice a day; so the frother gets a lot of use.The ones I’ve owned previously have had the non-stick interior with the motor underneath. Not easy to clean, and after some time, a scorched area would inevitably form on the bottom. As I was perusing Amazon looking for a new one, I was excited to see they had this one with a stainless steel cup! I’ve been using it for three weeks now, and a few things to note.Pros: I love the ease of clean up! I can just leave it in the sink if I feel like it, and it doesn’t matter. It heats and froths milk as well as I would expect from a Secura product. And I like that I can put the cacao powder directly into the cup with the milk and it blends everything nicely.Cons: this is a noisy machine. It works magnetically, so I’m guessing that’s the cause. It’s certainly not a deal breaker, but the noise can be loud. Sometimes it makes a lower humming noise, like a plane taking off, and that’s ok. But sometimes it makes a screechy noise and I leave the kitchen. If you can’t stand nails on a chalkboard, you might have a problem with this model. Sometimes I can rotate the cup around and it will settle down, but more often than not, it screeches and I just wait it out. Which brings me to the next issue; it takes longer than the old machine did to heat the milk. My previous machines had the milk ready in less than two minutes. This one takes five minutes if I add the cacao to the milk. If I run it with just the milk, it’s 4:30.For me, the stainless cup makes up for the other inconveniences and it was well worth purchasing.
