Love this kit! Made soap with my 4 year old. She really enjoyed it. And they turned out cute for being made by a 4 year old with some help.All you do is squirt dye, microwave soap, add glitter, and mix. Nothing too difficult. Next time I will make sure I really heat the soap for the hearts so it’s easier to mix with the dye (which we used toothpicks to mix). And I will put a small layer of the clear soap in the revtangular mold before placing the hearts in. Other than that, it was pretty easy to make! Ordering more to make for family and friends.

My niece loved the process of creating all of her unique bars of soap. She loved gifting them to people just as much, if not more, than the creation!

We had been struggling to find activities where we could socialize with our neighbor friends other than riding bikes, playing sidewalk chalk or walking to the park. The girls wanted to go inside and play dolls. We brought a folding table into the front lawn and had bubbles going as we talked about rainbows and soap. They mixed their own color hearts (completely messed with my obsessiveness to make the rainbow colors) and they loved it. After heating the soap in the microwave it started firming quickly, even in the 90 degree temperature outside. I might try a double boiler to melt the soap if we tried it again. The bars didn’t come out as clear as I hoped, maybe because of all the reheating. We did add a few drops of essential oil to add some fragrance to the soap. Overall a fun project. Easy cleanup after doing it outside, just hoses the table down. I would do it again, may look for a grown up kit. 😊

Very cute presentation and a great gift. They don't give you enough liquid soap to make all of the soap shapes, but there is plenty of rice flour. Just use your own clear liquid soap and the soaps come out great. They only last a few days apparently, but the soaps are adorable. My twelve year old had a blast and it took her two days to make all of them. Great time killer for "shelter in."

First of all, the directions show different colors that don't come in this kit. There are only three colors: yellow, green and red. When I first melted the soap, 30 seconds was too long. It boiled over. Luckily, it's soap and was able to be washed off of the microwave dish pretty easily. So, I'd suggest melting the initial soap for a shorter amount of time, then add 10 seconds if needed. It says that you can add a scented oil, but doesn't come with any. Lucky for us I have oils on hand that we used.My daughter really likes kits and really liked this one. She has the soap on her dresser shelf. I need to convince her to use it!

It works great with my 11 year old daughter. It has no smell and neat. She loved it and made a lavender favor soap for her friend.

Fun project for family. Got it for my 7 year old daughter then her 12 year old brother wanted to make soap too. Then daddy joined in too(he made a knock off dove soap). It was fun family time so well worth it.
