Just about perfect in every way.
I have a set of clip-lid containers which were great, until the clips began breaking off the lids -- when this container arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the clips aren't attached to the lid, but are an actual hinge mechanism, attaching to the body of the container. I don't see any potential point of failure with this design, as there's no repeated bending/weakening as was with the other kind.I was looking for a container to hold the Idahoan Real Mashed Potatoes, Gable Carton, Premium, 52 Ounce I often buy. The package is just a huge cardboard milk carton, so I wanted something to keep everything fresh. I spent quite a bit of time searching for a container that would be the right size, and it turns out this container for flour is as though custom made. A freshly opened carton fits completely inside, and a measuring cup will wiggle in snugly too. Perfect. And this even comes with a nice little measuring cup, that is perfectly sized to fit even into the narrower side of the container that is used as the handle -- the container is tapered on one side, and even with my small hands it is easy to handle, even when full.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase -- so much so that I've just put the whole 9-piece set (Sistema Klip It Shrinkwrapped Bakery Set) in my Save for Later cart, and look forward to buying it once the holidays settle down. If simple, functional, and well made is something that appeals to you, I don't believe you'll be disappointed in this product -- it's great. :O)

Sistema is Great
Alright so Sistema is a bit expensive compared to other tupperware but you get what you pay for. I purchased my first Sistema baker container 5 years ago after having issues with moths. Sometimes small moths leave larvae in dry goods like flour at the grocery store. Unfortunately there is no way to tell until having the flour at home for a few weeks. The moths reproduce quickly and infest any other dry goods you may have in your cabinet. Apart from being extremely disgusting (never a good surprise to find moth larvae swimming around in your cereal after you pour the milk in) nothing worked at keeping the moths out. I bought new flour, sugar, everything dry that could possibly be infested. I washed out everything in the cabinets and scrubbed the cabinets. I tried ziploc bags, gladware, double ziploc bags, glass pyrex containers, etc.One day I saw Sistema at Macy's and decided to give it a try. The plastic the containers is made out of is sturdy, it doesn't stain or scratch easily, it hasn't cracked or become brittle over time, the design makes it easy to grip and each container comes with its own measuring cup which means I no longer have to remember to measure out my dry goods before my wet ones or go digging around for a measuring cup. The airtight seal is actually airtight. I have had no issues with ants or moths getting into my Sistema containers EVER. Occasionally I will find moth larvae just inside the bottom lip of the lid but they can't get past the airtight seal and I haven't had an infestation for a long time. These containers are durable and wonderful and well worth the price.

Totally fabulous
I have lots of these and love them for all sorts of food items, very easy to open and when they are closed, form a tight seal. Sistema might be appalled to learn I also use them next to my cat litter boxes to hold soiled litter. Wide mouth makes it easy to accept without spilling over & airtight lid keeps all odors contained. Plus they are easy to clean and air dry. But they'd work for multiple jobs around the house in addition to storing flour, sugar, nuts etc.....great product.

Love it!
I bought this to store my flour because I don’t use it very often and a five pound bag lasts forever. I wanted to make sure it kept out anything that might get inside a bag sitting on my shelf, plus it keeps the flour fresher. The added bonus was the measuring cup that can be kept with the flour or whatever you decide to keep in your container. It holds 2.5 liters which is equal to approximately 10.6 8-oz cups. It seals very well and doesn’t leak. The plastic is thick and made well. It’s made from BA free material. Lid comes completely off. This storage container has multiple uses. I will use it for flour and plan on getting another for corn meal. Cookies can also be stored in it. You can freeze things in it and use it in the microwave although it wouldn’t fit in my small microwave. Best of all you can throw it in the dishwasher.

3.25L Does NOT hold 5 lbs of Flour, Barely holds 4.
I love these containers very much. I've purchased 4 of the 3.25L containers. I have to warn though that they do NOT hold a 5lb bag of flour like many have said they do. I purchase the 4lb bags of gold medal flour that have a zip lock seal. I attempted to fill the 3.25L container with the 4lb bag of flour today, and it simply would not fit. So if it won't hold 4lbs of flour, there is no way it's going to hold 5lbs.However the "Klip It 1450 142-Ounce Cereal Container" WILL hold a 5lb bag of flour with some room to spare. It costs a little more, but honestly every penny spent on Sistema containers is worth it. I'm not too bent out of shape that the 3.25L containers don't hold the 5 pounds of flour like I'd hoped because they are already full of other stuff like brown sugar, powdered sugar, and rice. They are wonderful containers for just about anything. I think I will use the last one I purchased to store beans in.I have a variety of other Sistema containers in my home. I plan to replace all my old containers with them. Moving forward I will use nothing else. They are air tight, easy to clean, stack brilliantly in the cupboard (and in the fridge) are easy to grip, and simply wonderful!
