Q: How do you know which aqua ball is right one?

It really depends on your strength and workout style/tempo. The Low Resistance Bells are made to move through the water quickly and dynamically, but if moved slowly will offer a gentle resistance. The most versatile is the Medium Resistance or All Purpose Bell. These are great for slower tempo and still compact enough to use at high speeds. The Maximum Resistance Bells are quit challenging for all but the fittest to move at high speed and could be ideal for those that only tend to perform slow tempo. but still need a higher level of resistance. With any of the bells, resistance is only achieved by you moving the bell through the water. As your speed of movement increases, so will the resistance. The higher resistance equipment will build this at a quicker rate. This example may help. All the bells are capable of generating 20lbs of resistance in the water. The low resistance bells would need to be moving quite fast (high tempo) to achieve this resistance. The medium resistance bells would hit the 20lbs of resistance mark but at a just over moderate tempo. The maximum resistance bells would only need a slightly less than moderate tempo to hit 20lbs of resistance. As you can see the medium and maximum resistance bells are still capable of generating higher levels of resistance but you would have to have the strength to increase the tempo to do so. Many individuals will have a combination of bell sets to allow for customization depending on workout style or change it up for particular exercises. Remember though, it isn't all about maximum resistance as being able to move in the water allows functional movements, muscle lengthening, range of motion, muscle balance and so much more.
