Just wanted to update my review a bit. I’m still gonna keep this machine as a five star, but I have noticed over the two weeks that I’ve had this machine that my espresso has been a lot less flavorful than the previous espresso machine that I have had using the same espresso that I normally get, which is the Starbucks espresso because that’s the only one my Food store carries unfortunately. But I am going to try a few different options like I’m going to use my blender to grind the espresso a bit to see if that works if it makes the espresso more flavorful and if that doesn’t work, then I’m gonna try a different brand of espresso that I will purchase on Amazon or something and if my espresso still is kind of weak unfortunately I will need to send the machine back so that is my update .

We've only had this for a short time, but we are pleased. It works just as described.

Overall I'm impressed with the espresso machine. As a novice it was easy to learn how to use it, the results taste great and I got the machine at a good discount. There's just one issue I'm not happy about. It's important to clean the machine and parts to keep it running properly. The manual says do not wash the filter holder (also called portafilter) in a dishwasher which I would not consider doing. On the page I attached a picture of, it also says clean it with "cleaner or warm water" with no specific recommendations on what type of cleaner. Reserarch pointed to the industry-recommended cleaner Cafiza by Urnex, which you mix with hot water and soak the filters and portafilter in for a few minutes then rinse well. The next note in the manual says not to use alcohol or solvent cleaner. Cafiza is sodium hydroxide and that is NOT a solvent and is safe/recommended for stainless steel. Amazon description only mentions stainless steel. To be sure, I posed a question on the product page about the portafilter's type of metal, which also said stainless steel. But you can see from my photo the filter and steam wand tip did well with the cleaner but the portafilter did not. It appears corroded, likely made of aluminum. I wish I had known! If I could replace it, I would clean that part with just soapy water. I checked the manual for warranty info (says minimum of 12 months and covers defects in material). However, that's when I noticed that no where in the manual does it mention how to register the product or how to contact customer service! What good is a warranty if you cannot reach them? So I attempted the Get Product Support option on Amazon's order page. As you can see, none of the potential issues listed are relevant. So I may have to try the Get Help from Amazon option instead. Anyway, please know that the filters are stainless steel, but the portafilter is not. So be careful what you use to clean it.

Easy to use, doesn't take up too much space, and makes delicious espresso!! Definitely worth the affordable price!

Only 4 stars right now because I haven't actually used it yet. They require this as part of the warranty.I have done the initial steps and the instructions are easy to read.
