Very good quality for the price
This is the cheaper version of their tape, and uses a different material than the pricier version (Aerotape). Again, while the primary purpose is thermal insulation of copper tubing (such as the one used in split air conditioners), you will find it suitable for a host of other purposes also. The material is a very pliant rubberized one, and the adhesive quality is very good. I used it for filling the slender gaps in the wooden frame of my window AC, and it is excellent for that purpose. I also used it as a replacement for some of the packing foam inside the external cage of a window air conditioner, that the service technicians had callously ripped off while refitting the AC.However, the material is soft & very pliant, so if you subject it to sharp scrapes, it will peel off. Therefore, it is best suited for places where you don't have constant friction or wear & tear.On the whole, a very useful & handy item to have at home for DIY jobs.

A very nice product to seal off small creaks or gaps
A very nice product to seal off small creaks or gaps. I used it on car to seal off the gaps when the door closes and now there is no engine noise at all ( I don't whether it has done good or not as I cannot hear the engine noise or road noise and do not know how engine is responding). The product has done wonderful job.

Great adhesion, and helps in noise reduction if used properly
I used this to cover gaps between my door and door frame to reduce noise when working from home. I didn't apply it in the sides, but more in the front in the door frame where the frame touches the door to close it. Because that area is very small, I had to cut the strip into multiple long pieces, but that did not affect it's functionality at all.Just applying this strip once might not help, as a lot of doors (including mine) are uneven in the gaps. My recommendation is to check the gaps after applying to fill them to get the full effect of the strip. Due to the gaps, I had to apply between 1 to 7 layers of this strip in various places to have an effective gap closure. The best part about it is stacking it to create layers works perfectly fine. I've stacked 7 layers, and it is holding very strong after 1.5 months of use. This, in combination with a door floor strip has reduced the noise by 95%, and I can now have calls in my room without any background noise from my home even when the mixer grinder is running in the kitchen. If applied right, this is very effective. The foam is soft enough to be compressible when pressure is applied, but not overly so. Most importantly, it does not deform or loose it's width even if it is pressed repeatedly, and for long time, which keeps the seal effective. I haven't checked this for air seal, but the sound seal is very effective. Just make sure you apply it on all the three sides of the frame, and supplement it with a door strip for the bottom.

A fantastic useful product a home must have.
I researched for similar products more for my upcoming Home Studio info. Found this product endorsed by many with little criticism, if any. I am now applying ot all the windows and doors with some gaps to plug it off from dust and sound. Care must be taken, while applying it by running a finger down close to the side of frame, while holding the Nitrile in the same hand, pulling the plastic cover little by little, so that you get get complete control over pasting. It's messy & tears, if you try to change the direction course. This is a negative point, which can easily be avoided by my method. It is very sticky & holds on very well on dry surfaces, I tried. Best of the lot, I recommend. One point to add. I divide it into 4 or even 6 pieces breadthwise to cover just enough material for as many places as possible. SAVE. Dr. Mohan George

Super sticky and excellent insulation - Highly recommended
I used this tape to cover our split AC's ODU to IDU pipe that was exposed to air and showing frost on metal (squirrels/birds ate away the white insulation tubing). The tape is super sticky so I had to be careful while sticking.Performance - We could feel instant improvement in the cooling of the AC because the compressed coolant was reaching IDU without losing much of its cooling capacity. Though this is black in colour, the insulation performance is excellent. In simple words, earlier we would set AC to 23-24 degrees while sleeping to get confortable temperature, now we are setting at 25-26 at the peak of summer and cooling is still great. The tape is quite long and I used barely 4-5 feet of it till now.Remember, it's designed to be sticky so if it sticks anywhere accidentally, you'll need to put effort to remove it.
