Put it together carefully. Screw in the poles to the base 'carefully'. Ideal floor lamp if you're not going to move it about. I can sense it could break if manhandled a bit rough. Adjust the top light and bendy area while being careful not to loosen or overtighten the other parts. It's a great light with lots of dimming settings. I was hoping that when I turned it off at the mains plug, it would turn back on to its last setting but it doesn't. You need to use the mini switch on the lamp. I got this for £20 and was worth the money. If the base does, at some point break, I can see options to fix it and even, if need be, bracket it to a wall. I'm using the lamp as a conservatory light. It's a USB plug with the mains adapter included. All in all, it's ideal for my purposes. Just be gentle....

Light is great and the different modes and brightness works well. Easily out together. Stand could be heavier as it does tend to overbalance when switching on. Needs to be wedged in or have something heavy on the base.

Good light with good range of brightness levels and colour tone settings. Having remote control and cable controller is useful. However this is useless as this lamp has developed a mind of its own and frequently switches itself on at irregular times and sometimes switches off itself. I’ve checked all the connections and they are good, tried leaving it unplugged for a day, but the problem keeps returning. I’m disabled and housebound, some days actually bed ridden, so need equipment that is dependable and reliable, unfortunately this lamp does not fill me with confidence. It’s currently unplugged and not in use and now considering returning it.

I purchased this floor lamp because of the 4.1 star rating. I have no idea how it received such a high rating. When I received it via courier, I was immediately suspicious as the box was not very heavy at all. My suspicions were well founded as it has a small square base not even 1cm thick. There was no weight to keep the lamp upright on carpet. Secondly, the bendable, snake section was so loose that the light part flopped down and I couldn't get it to shine light anywhere other than on the floor! It is lightweight with no substance in the base. I would not recommend this item at all

Can be a bit top heavy, if bent the wrong way or too much, and may end up toppling over.But...Ended up with 3 of these. Much better than other alternatives I've tried for just a simple, easy to use functional light.Only "negative" (or can be a positive, depending on how or why these are purchased) one remote can control all 3 lights even if that wasn't the plan!
