Great Technic[al] Lot!
General "not-LEGO" review:As a 90s kid who grew up slightly obsessed with LEGO but hadn't built a set in almost twenty years until recently, I was blown away by the current state of play in the greater "building brick toy" ecosystem. When my brothers and I were growing up, the options for off-brand bricks were sparse: MegaBloks were noticeably lower quality than the big L, and if we happened to find anything other than those two (dollar store, etc) it was typically so bad that the pieces weren't even worth adding into our bucket of bricks. I recently stumbled back into this world through Amazon Vine, and was stoked to discover the seemingly endless wealth of off-brand sets available, even if that stoke was a bit tempered pending a general assessment of quality.I've now built over a hundred sets of "not-LEGO" bricks found here on Amazon, and I couldn't be more impressed by the amazing options out there, in terms of set variety, quality, and (especially) price. These sets I've received account for literally tens of thousands of bricks, yet I can count on one hand the total number of pieces missing. Sure, the regular presence of extra pieces might be indicative of less-than-stellar quality control practices by these manufacturers, but it seems like the errors are overwhelmingly biased to the side of surplus, and I'm not going to complain about getting a few extra bricks per set. Feel and fit are generally great, I'd say 99% up to big L standards for studded pieces and even a shade better for technic pieces. Colors aren't always Pantone-perfect between sets (though internally they're consistent), minifigures are rarely included (and always slightly "off"; this is due to the minifigs being strictly patent-protected, unlike most bricks), and some accessory bits (sails, stickers, etc) are of more variable quality; but the most noticeable difference in my experience is just the lack of a tiny "LEGO" on every single ABS stud. It also seems that many of these manufacturers aren't beholden to the same copyright restrictions as the bigger western companies, so you're likely to encounter more unlicensed/unofficial sets from various IP ("Harry Wizard", "Star Farm"...), as well as MOCs that failed to launch. If you love the look of this set; if you want to maximize your piece-per-dollar ratio to fill out a bucket/chest/room; or if you just want to build for the sake of building, I'm happy to say that this set (or pretty much any other you can find nowadays) is worth the investment.Set-specific notes:This is a nice little lot of technical pieces, and I haven't had any problems integrating them into the rest of my collection. I've seen some reviews on this and other lots that addressed concerns with QC and tolerances, but I haven't noticed any size issues myself. Whether you have a particular build in mind, or just want to expand your collection and technical abilities, this is a decent choice when picking up an assortment of technic[al] elements.

a good collection of parts
this collection of pieces and parts that work seamlessly with exiting oem technic parts are great. this is a great way to expand any builder's collection, making it so they can build beyond what their static sets provide.

Great Assortment Of Technic Pieces
This is a great set of assorted technic parts that are compatible with Lego and other brands. My 7 year old son was so happy to have all these different pieces to upgrade his brick building creations. He had been asking for axles and gears to build different things and now he can build all the designs he has drawn on paper before he had this set. These are pretty good quality pieces and my son hasn't broke any yet as he can be a bit over zealous with the pieces. Overall a nice assortment for any brick building fan who wants to take it to the next level.

Perfect for young engineers
This is a great assortment of technic pieces, and they work with lego and other brands. Great deal for the price! Easy to use with other brands. This is perfect for encouraging kids in thinking outside the box and making their own designs. Will likely buy more for engineering projects as well.

Decent if not somewhat odd selection of Technic parts with decent part quality
Reviewing things like this is always a bit more of a challenge than actual sets- they're a lot more straightforward than a somewhat random collection of parts. That said, this was a pretty good selection of parts- the fact that there are Technic bricks is useful, and there's a good collection of gears, axles, and pins. However, some choices are kind of unusual- for example the cam lobes (the snowshoe-shaped parts in the picture with the pins) which are only really useful if you're doing something with an engine. There's also a kind of criminally small number (7 smaller ones, and 4 larger) of bushes- here really should be more to be able to use the axles very well. However, I will say that overall I was pretty pleased with the quality of the parts- all of them connected well with each other and also with some of the actual LEGO parts I checked them with. They're not quite as good on tolerance as actual LEGO- but that's to be expected and why they cost less.If you're looking for a decent selection of Technic parts to add to your collection of parts to use to build things and there are some of these you know you need, it's a decent value and you likely won't notice that they're not actual LEGO for most applications.

Gear parts
If your kid likes to build their own creations with Legos, this set is for you! My 9-year-old kept saying how he wished he had this gear, or that, so this could turn, or this could do that... Now it can! He uses this in multiple creations. The only problem is when he can't find what he's looking for in a giant bin of Legos!

Middle of the road plate
TLDR;Decent if you have no concern for the actual colors you get.All in all, this is a mediocre set, even by "not the big brand" standards. Most of the fits were just normally acceptable or better. No duds in that area. Really good random selection for fodder is the best aspect of this kit.The main issue for me is that I REALLY wanted the colors as shown - with the blues all being similar to the Classic blue, and the nice orange ones especially. A small few came in the blue color, the rest were other shades or completely different. No orange pieces at all, and there are 3 shades of blue across the set - mostly dark navy and aqua. Many others are just random colors, very few actually matched the photos. I think it's one of the easiest things a company can do, to take a handful of pictures that show the actual product being sent out, so this is a major knock for me.Last, a lot of the parts have imperfections, scuffs, scratches, etc that are pretty noticeable. I don't mean in the way some people want MINT condition parts, I mean in the "what happened to you poor fellows??" kind of way. The black ones have the harshest finishes to them.
