The volume control is responsive and easy to manage directly from the unit or through a connected device.Functionality is straightforward—Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable, and the speaker holds a stable connection. The build quality feels solid, with a durable outer shell that can handle daily use and minor drops without issue.Available in a variety of vibrant colors, the Go 4 adds a fun, personalized touch to your setup. Given its sound performance, portability, and features, it offers excellent value for money for casual listeners and those on the go.

Solid speaker all-around.
Solid speaker, loud, clear, small. Background: I have owned a lot of computer speakers and speakers of all sizes and I work as in audio. I'm not a complete expert, but I do have a ton of experience in all things sound. For a speaker that can fit in your pocket, this thing is really good. I bought it for a vacation, so we could play music in our cabin, and it delivered well beyond my expectations. It was plenty loud, with more room to go. There is a major difference from listening to things straight from a laptop, tablet, or phone with little effort and it sounds pretty close to a real speaker setup.Battery: The battery lasted just around 8 hours of nearly continuous play. A nice feature: it shuts down after awhile if it does not detect a signal from your device. Great for saving battery and not forgetting to turn it off.Build Quality: Very durable, it seems. It has a rubber shell. I would say you could drop this off a roof and it would survive. A nice option for camping, vacations, bonfires, rugged activities where it may take some abuse, but also where a power supply doesn't come easy and you need portability. The blue color with grey and orange accents is really nice.Sound Quality: I found the sound to be clear, with plenty of volume. There are speakers that project nicely, without being "loud" - I would not put this into that category, but those speakers cost at least 4x the price. There were times where it seemed to be getting too loud for everyone. But, for the price, that is nothing to complain about. There is a lot of bass, but not a crazy amount (which a lot of brands think more bass means good). It has a pretty even EQ; you can hear everything well. Since it is portable, just move it around the room and find the best spot where it can be heard, but won't be in everyone's face, isn't bouncing off reflections like hard surfaces, and it will sound awesome.Value: Well worth the money. I will be using this a lot, i can already tell. JBL is a very experienced brand in this department. I have heard other bluetooth speakers. Although I haven't A/B compared anything else, this one sounds just as good as anything else out there I can remember, including the more expensive JBL tube.

Portable Powerhouse
I have absolutely no complaints. First and foremost, the sound quality from this little thing is bang on. The small size, ready to party packaging and protection are just what I was looking for. Setting it on the table on the deck, taking it kayaking and anywhere else outdoors could not be easier or stress-free. Pairing is seamless and stable and being able to control playback via my phone and/or the speaker is wonderfully convenient. The battery lasts a long time and charges back up quickly. Can't really ask for more. I might even grab a second one.

Incredible little system
I was definitely skeptical. I had read that you needed to operate it out of its own App, that it wasn’t really that loud and that it rattled. None of the above were true. It packs a mean bass for its size, connects through standard Bluetooth and it’s easy to carry anywhere. I purchased the camo version for camping. The battery life lasts around 4-6 hours; depending on your volume preference. Very durable and easy to use. The price is unbeatable for what you get. Having said all of this, don’t expect to tear walls down with the output on this guy. It puts out the right crisp volume and operates very well within a campfire vicinity. Recommended.

Highly recommend
I’m seriously impressed with the JBL Go 4! Don’t let the small size fool you — the sound is clear, rich, and surprisingly loud for such a compact speaker. It’s perfect for my desk, travel, or tossing in a bag for a day out on the golf course. The built-in finger loop makes it easy to carry, and the waterproof/dustproof design gives me peace of mind when I’m using it outdoors. Battery life has been solid — I’ve gotten close to 9 hours with the Playtime Boost feature on.All in all, this is a fantastic little speaker that punches way above its weight.

A little flawed, but good for the price.
It's JBL, so you already know it sounds good. Some people complained about it being too quiet, mine is very loud even with a preamp set to -2db. Decent battery, solidly built, feels good to carry around - but it's got a few problems.-The cloth covering wasn't completely glued down in one spot. I was able to sort of push it back into the shell, and it seems okay for now, but I might have to superglue it down later.- The notification sounds don't scale with volume, and they're bizarrely loud. The 'power down' sound is particularly annoying and always scares my cat.- Bass makes it vibrate pretty badly with the volume up, to the point where it physically slides across flat surfaces when standing upright. If you don't prop it against something, it could easily fall off a table.- As with all JBL products, the charging cable is very short (only 1ft) so you will need another USBC cable in most cases. All in all I'm still willing to give it 4 stars since it does sound good for the price, but I hope they make some improvements if they make a GO5.
