Easy to use, makes delicious bread when recipe done right
I’m so glad that I bought this when they were selling out quickly due to the Covid19 crisis. I’ve made about a half dozen or so loaves of bread in the past three weeks and overall have had excellent results. First, I saw several reviews that said the bread maker didn’t come with a paddle. I thought the same thing at first - please note the paddle is taped to the inside of a cardboard piece that protects the inside of the maker from scratching. They should make this more obvious as I can see how people could overlook it and accidentally throw it away.On to the maker’s attributes, it has a nice look to it on the counter and it is compact enough that I don’t mind leaving it out 24/7 in my smallish kitchen. I will note that I have NOT used the recipes in the book that came with it. They seemed a bit fussy and with no reviews on the recipes themselves I didn’t trust them. I bought a couple of bread machine bread cookbooks that were recommended to me - in particular the Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook. I’ve also found recipes on King Arthur flour’s website. For those that are having trouble with the bread machine making loaves properly, I suppose it could be the bread maker malfunctioning, but I imagine it may be more likely that people are not measuring correctly or putting the ingredients in the machine in the right order. For my first loaf I knew I overmeasured the water just a bit but figured no biggie it will be more moist. Nope - it was too airy (but still pretty good)! Next time I did the same recipe and was more precise on my measuring and it was perfect! Another time my bread didn’t rise properly and was dense but I didn’t blame the bread machine - I know I messed up that time because it was honey bread and I forgot to put the honey in with the liquid ingredients before the flour was added so I ended up putting the honey on last which I’m sure messed up the yeast activity. That bread however was still good and edible just too dense. The other tip I’ll give is to make sure to measure flour properly. I didn’t realize this was an issue for so many people but all of the flour books stress this point so also make sure you know how to measure flour without packing it. If there is way too much flour I’m sure the bread won’t turn out. Conversely, the bread books tell you that if your dough is too moist during the mixing process, that you should add flour during the machines’ kneading process. During my very first loaf I could tell it was likely too moist through the window but I was too scared to interfere with the process. On my last loaf I made which was a Hawaiian sweet bread I could tell it was too moist so I added flour every couple of minutes during the second knead until it made a smoother dough ball that held together. The bread turned out delicious! In summary, do your research on how to optimize the results you get from your bread machine and enjoy your baking process and results!!

Worth it! Compact and efficient!
This little machine is great! It's easy to use, works like a charm making perfect loaves of bread and dough for other uses (dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, etc.), and looks fantastic on my kitchen counter too. It's easy to clean up and not nearly as loud as other machines I've used in the past. Cuisinart's quality and reputation is a huge plus too. Loved this rig so much that my Mom bought one too and swears by it. This item is WELL worth the money. Highly recommend!

Easy to use first time bread maker follow the tips and the hints
I’m a first time bread maker. I followed the instructions for French bread, and my first loaf was a disaster that I had to rescue not because of the machine because of my lack of knowledge about bread making and the importance of the balance of water to flour. For this review, I should have a picture of what it looked like. It was kind of wet and gooey and intuitively. I knew that’s not the way it should look. The manual said to remove the paddle by removing the dough when the machine beeps 10 times so that’s when I looked at my dough and saw that it was probably not the way it should be. I went ahead and tried to remove it anyway and ended up with gooey paste everywhere but there was still enough left in the machine to let it cook, and it was edible. I like rustic. My second attempt I had done some research and made sure to check the dough and sure enough it was wet again, even though I bought a scale and weighed the ingredients which I thought was the problem, but it was wet again so I added enough flour to bring it up to where it wouldn’t stick to my finger. Unfortunately, this was during the rise phase, but I figured it was better to just go ahead and add the flour. The loaf came out much better, but had large holes because the dough was still a little wet.I also made cornbread using the cake function and a recipe for a bread machine cookbook. It turned out very nice and very tasty. The main thing about this bread machine is that I can throw the ingredients in turn it on and have bread in a few hours not much to clean upMaking the cornbread was easier again throw the ingredients in the machine does the work mixes the ingredients and bakes it the machine is compact and easy to pull off the shelf when I want to use itEasy to cleanI started off with a 1 pound loaf of French bread and I’m eating it so fast. I’ll probably need to make a 2 pound loaf. But it was great I realized I’m out of bread. I gotta make some so I threw the ingredients into the Cuisinart and had bread for dinner. The picture shows my pastrami sandwich and cornbread with some salad.

Good bread, don’t trust the included recipes
The machine itself is great, I am able to reliably make excellent bread. I took off a star because the recipes that come in the book are complete trash. Go find recipes designed for bread makers either online or recipe books - I’ve seen other reviews that agree with this, but figured I’d try it myself and yeah, it was terrible. Also, invest in a kitchen scale to weigh your flour, that helped a lot with getting my batches consistent. I do like that I can take out the paddle if I listen for the beeps. I didn’t mind the bread shape leaving it in, but have found that since it’s removable, the paddle can get stuck in the loaf and you have to carve it out which is kind of a pain. Also I didn’t trust the ultra-fast mode initially but after trying it, I really like it now. Much faster than normal cooking length and the bread texture is actually better. I have only made wheat bread so far but I’m happy with it now that I’ve figured out a good recipe.
