HP Ink Advantage 4278 WiFi Colour Printer - Print/Scan/Copy with ADF Ideal for Home/Small Office

I purchased this yesterday and was excited to see the features for the price point, esp the ADF. Becasue of some of the negative reviews, decided to test all features immediately to decide to return or not.The AIO was delivered in the original HP packing and everthing external & internal was intact! The printer was easy to remove and was sealed-wrapped in platic paper. Connected and downloaded HP Smart software as suggested. Followed the instructions to install and everything went smoothly!ConnectivityBoth USB & WiFi connected worked perfectly. What I observed that WiFi on its own works fine but sometimes disconnects when the USB is connected. But independently, both are working perfectly!PrintingThe print quality was good. I printed on a good and used paper including printing by sending an email over the internet; ot worked fine. Though, I will say that the paper loading mechanism isn't the greatest. You need to open the back and pull it (increases the depth of the printer) and then it works fine. But if you do not set it properly, it remains semi-closed and doesn't detect the paper properly. Otherwise thumbs up. Another point of observation is the print speed is average. Takes a little longer than my other printer. But for 7K, I am happy! One last point on cartridges - The cartridges that come with a printer usually dont last long (for all printers, dont know why). But the next set onwards, they last as promised. So I would not hold this against HP or this printer.ScanningThe prime reason for selecting this printer was the availability of an ADF at this price point! The company claims 35 sheet capacity. I tried with 23 pages and it worked like a charm. This was my point of joy as I scan a lot more than I print. I would say that the ADF seemed smoother than my other 25K printer!Printer DisplayCompact and adequate. There are just enough indicators and buttons to keep you informed of whats happening or if there is an error. Not fancy, but very functional.SoftwareI have never been a fan of the HP print/scan software UI. The scanner has many features like the other ones but I am not paticularly impressed by it. It find the software bloated and not convenenient. But it serves my purpose very well and again at 7K, it is fantastic!

With the Diwali discount, card discount, Amazon cash back, and GST refund applied, I was able to get it for Rs. 4100. The features are pretty decent for the price. A colour printer, a colour scanner, an automatic document feeder, wifi and mobile connectivity, one-touch colour and black-and-white copying, etc. are among the features. The qualities of an excellent scanner with a flat bed and an automatic document feeder were the major reasons I purchased it. At this price, there isn't even a single-function scanner on the market with this feature. For me, the inclusion of colour print and content is a bonus. Because it requires less maintenance, I favour this over an ink tank printer. When inactive for a long time (such as during the COVID phase), ink tank printers experience a jamming phenomenon in the print head due to dried ink. As the print head, ink tubes, and other components need to be replaced, the cost of repair is around 4K. The print head is located inside the cartridge itself in this printer (HP 4123). We receive a fresh head each time the cartridge is changed. It also features a cartridge of dry ink. The cost of maintenance is therefore relatively minimal. The price of printing is the only drawback I can think of. Although there are kits available on Amazon, I have not tried to refill the cartridge.Can anyone share their self-refilling kit experience and recommendations of kitInitial setup cartridges are still functioning after around 25 prints in colour and black and white each.The best 3-in-1 scanner and printer for full-featured scanning and low- to medium-volume printing workloads, I'll say that last.

Very poor support .no one came for installation inspite of paying for it.finally got it installed from outside.Also print quality very poor

I am totally unsatisfied of this printer. Only approximately after fifty pages, printer has left the black ink and blank page came out after printing. It's cartridge is very poor quality, hence it's running cost is to much. I will not suggest to anyone for purchase this printer. If possible kindly replace this printer from ink tank or leger printer.
