Good long lasting power.
Really love these. I use a digital camera every day for work and can shoot several days of photos without recharging and without any drop in power over several days. The hold their charge extremely well after several months of use. Unlike a lot of batteries not named Duracell or Eveready they are not oversized and fit well in all the applications I have used them in. Shelf life seems good too as I have had some charged and sitting for a few months and they show no degradation of power over time. Good value.

Good batteries!!
Good quality! I would say much better batteries compared to you regular brands available in stores. So far, I think it is an amazing value. I use a lot of rechargeable batteries, and these hold a charge much longer, compared to regular, typical brands. Batteries fit perfectly, and the size is standard.I did only a few cycles of recharging, I am curious if these will hold up as good as Eneloops.

The best of several brands
My Eneloop batteries have started to go bad and after seeing the cost I decided to look for another brand.I first tried Amazon Basic batteries. I plotted the discharge voltage during several charge-discharge cycles and found major voltage glitches. It took many charge – discharge cycles to have them discharge without voltage glitches. When I checked the label, I found that they were over two years old, old stock. I won’t buy Amazon Basic Batteries again.I then tried EBL batteries and found several with minor voltage glitches and the glitches went away after a few charge-discharge cyclaes.I then tried these POWEROWL batteries. No voltage glitches and the batteries tested the same except for one. The one didn’t reach the end of charge properly and my charger over charged it. Even after several cycles it continued to overcharge. One bad battery out of 16, not too bad, much better than the other brands. The capacity checked the same as the Amazon batteries which were rated at 800 mAh, these are rated at 1100 mAh.I think the POWEROWL batteries are the best of the batteries I tested. It will take several years to know for sure. The batteries with the longest life I have ever had were Radio Shack batteries. By the time I figured out that they had a long life they were out of business.I have never been able to tell the state of a battery without plotting the discharge voltage. I wish more chargers had that function.

Disappointed in features and longevity, difficult to pinpoint problem
It is now the end of November 2024. I bought these Powerowl brand batteries in December 2023. I had a Powerowl brand charger that I bought in 2019. I recharged these Powerowl batteries using the Powerowl charger. I labeled the individual batteries with the month and year I bought them and an alphanumeric designator to tell the batteries apart, so I know I haven't used the same ones every single time. Plus, I haven't recharged any of them every single day, so there's no way any of them are approaching 400 or 500 recharge cycles. I'd be surprised if any of these batteries have been recharged even 100 times. It would have been nearly impossible to do so unless I were using a very high drain device all day long. Probably about 4 to 5 of the batteries now indicate that they are not working properly and do not hold a charge or recharge. They are not being used in extreme conditions. I don't know for sure if it is due to a malfunction with the Powerowl batteries or the Powerowl charger. I suspect it could be a problem with the Powerowl charger, since multiple brands of rechargeable batteries (brand new Energizer rechargeables, slightly older Energizer rechargeables, older Rayovac rechargeables, older Duracell rechargeables) have ceased to function after I used the Powerowl charger to recharge them a few times. I am using different rechargeable battery brands and different chargers for those batteries now. In the case of batteries that I had already used the Powerowl charger to recharge, I will continue to recharge in the Powerowl charger, especially the Powerowl branded batteries. I am disappointed by the performance of one or both of the Powerowl products. It could possibly be a malfunction only with my particular Powerowl charger unit that could only be known after use, but even off-brand rechargeable batteries are more expensive up front than regular batteries, and it is less eco-friendly and less frugal if the rechargeable batteries function less than 100 times before ceasing to work properly. I don't know how much the Powerowl batteries can then be recycled, but I hope they are not ending up in a landfill. Also, these Powerowl batteries are slightly bigger in circumference than most other single-use or rechargeable AA batteries, and they do not fit in some battery compartments. The good aspect of these batteries is that when charged, they do last a long time in most devices, several days or weeks, most of the time. However, the fact that so many of these Powerowl batteries have not managed to function for a whole year and have malfunctioned with fewer than 100 recharge cycles is disappointing, to say the least. The question remains as to whether it was the fault of the Powerowl batteries or the Powerowl charger, or both.If you bought the Powerowl charger unit with Powerowl branded batteries on a good deal, I think that could be saving a bit of money and a little bit of the environment versus buying regular single-use batteries, but I would be hesitant to put any other brand of rechargeable batteries in the Powerowl charger. I don't know what other users' experiences are with these batteries when using a different charger than Powerowl brand. It is frustrating that few brand name chargers charge more than 4 batteries at once in one charger, and many of them don't charge odd numbers of batteries or single batteries. However, some name brands do make chargers that do so for up to 4 batteries, and the name brand rechargeable batteries seem to last longer when using their same charger brand, though they are generally more expensive than the off brands. If you can get the name brand rechargeable batteries with the name brand charger on sale, ultimately you might be saving money and the environment a little more.UPDATE (05 December 2024): The seller contacted me on 01 December 2024, the day after my review of these batteries was posted to Amazon. The seller offered a full refund, apologized for any inconvenience, and expressed hope that I would give them another chance. I appreciate the gesture and am inclined to do so in response to such great customer service. Perhaps I will use any money refunded to purchase another Powerowl charger with Powerowl batteries and see if they have the same issues. I will update my rating of the batteries accordingly if I do not have the same issues with another batch, but for now I do not want to rate the batteries higher than a 3-star rating. I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars, pending further evaluation. The *seller* gets a 5-star plus rating for customer service and response, however.
