I have bought two of these Pure Mate Ionic air purifiers as replacements for the two I bought back in 2017 which one of them has finally worn out so bought two to replace them, (if one has worn out then surely the other one, even though it is still working will stop working soon too) these are really rather brilliant devices, they make your rooms feel still and fresh and clean like after a rain storm. The beads of vanilla aroma I received don't have a smell to them, I suspect that is because they're old stock as my original ones back in 2017 I remember had a lovely smell, I just wish Pure Mate would sell replacement beads because they smelled so gorgeous.Talking of smell I have read reviews that people complain about the smell when they first plug them in and for a couple of days or so afterwards, I didn't experience this at all. My machines one in the front room makes me and my wife feel calm and the one in the bedroom, well, that's how we knew it wasn't working because neither of us had had a good nights sleep for a couple of nights which made us check them, as soon as these new ones arrived I plugged one in the bedroom and that night we both got a solid eight hours sleep. It runs quietly so doesn't interrupt your sleep and clears the air of any allergens and dust. When it arrived they were so easy to set up, just put the aroma beads into the screw on basket on the bottom of the unit, plug the power lead into the side of the machine then into a wall socket and that's it, sit back and relax, I highly recommend these devices.

I love, LOVE this little gadget – it is quiet and very effective….and I only realised how much I loved it when I stopped using it!I bought it, believe it or not, for my much-beloved cat whom we thought was suffering from allergies at the time. I really felt that it helped ease his breathing…some days he’d be poorly and lie under the bed. Couple of hours with the PureMate on, he’d come back downstairs – his regular, always-hungry, self. As it turned out, it wasn’t an allergy but a massive tumour at the back of his nose and he didn’t wake from the endoscopy. Broken-hearted, I packed the machine away a few weeks later. Woke up during the night sneezing my head off and I realised that I’d been thoroughly enjoying the effects of the ioniser too. I appear to be way less allergic to my new little kitten and I’ve not suffered hayfever AT ALL this year. And I have SUFFERED in the past. In fact, it only occurred to me that it WAS hayfever season when I saw another chap on the train suffering horribly! I can’t fault the machine at all – works beautifully, I love the 'scent' that it seems to give off and, other than the occasional fzzzzl, it’s virtually soundless. It certainly wouldn’t bother even the lightest of sleepers.And I can’t fault PureMate’s customer service either. Woke up in the middle of the night a few days ago bunged up and needing an antihistamine. Immediately checked the unit and it seemed it wasn’t working. Emailed the PureMate team and within half an hour I had a response – suggesting that the unit might need a clean and they gave me instructions. Cleaned the machine that evening and got a few weak fzzzls out of it but nothing much…it got me through the night but needed an antihistamine in the morning. Emailed the PureMate team saying I believed the unit broken. As I’d lost all the paperwork, I’d no idea about whether it had a guarantee or not. No worries though - the PureMate team replied right away saying to dispose of the old unit and they were dispatching a new unit right away.It arrived yesterday ….had a BRILLIANT night’s sleep and woke all clear this morning. I LOVE the gadget and I’m THOROUGHLY impressed by PureMate’s customer service – second to none!

I bought this item in pure desperation at 3am having not been able to sleep or eat for 4 days because I was violently vomiting mucus from the post-nasal drip that I was also aspirating, setting off asthma attack after asthma attack. We just moved into a new (old, with old carpet) flat and he’d left a fan caked in dust blowing in my face on the first night. I had spent the subsequent days CONSTANTLY wheezing and coughing with itching eyes and nose from allergies. I thought I’d never rest again. I thought I’d have to sleep outside. I SERIOUSLY was on the brink of walking into the forest at the dead of night to sleep there, but then I bought this with next day delivery and suddenly I feel like I can tolerate the environment. I’ve been able to flush the gunk out of my system over the course of the day without feeling any more irritation, even in the bedroom which is the dustiest. I have had it on for a few hours in each room (supervising because of the warnings of faulty power supplies). I can’t say I haven’t coughed or sniffed at all, but I feel a lot better than I did, even having spent the evening felting dog hair so am allergic to! The device sat on the arm of my couch whilst I worked.It only does one room at a time but it was relatively cheap, it’s quiet and I no longer feel like I’m dying.

What a great piece of kit . This ioniser is great . It's very quiet indeed when it's running . I'm a heavy smoker and got rid of my tobacco smells in about an hour from my room . The ozone smell it produces is not overpowering but indeed leaves a very pleasant smell in the room , very reminiscent of the air after a thunder storm . The only downside is the fragrance pearls that came with it don't work . It was supposed to put a vanilla scent into the room but it only smelled of ozone , which in itself isn't a bad thing . Also I suffer from headaches and bad sinuses (blocked nose) but after a couple of hours of running the device my headaches and blocked nose simply disappeared . All in all a very pleasant experience for not much money . I'm pleased I bought it . I can highly recommend.
