The media could not be loaded. I got this scanner to use for scanning trading cards (Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, and Disney Lorcana) and am extremely pleased with the speed, accuracy, and gentle handling of the cards.So far no issues at all!

The scanner is great, one of the best in term of hardware! unlike other Fujitsu stand alone scanner, the software accompanied for network/group scanning is terrible! The setup is a pain, you get the same settings everywhere with inconsistencies. Some of the settings you must connect the scanner using the USB cable as it won't work thru the network. User Interface English wordings confusing, probably translated using an application, not a native speaker!I installed many Fujitsu scanners and think they are the best in the market, but Fujitsu missed it up on the fi-8170 software.

This was a gift and it’s very loved! Super easy to use and great quality scans. Especially love the auto document feeder!

I've been keeping all my paper bills in sorted files for the last couple of decades, and it's reached a point of critical mass in the last year: My office is impossible to use with all of the files and papers!I did a bit of research and found that the older model of this scanner was highly recommended for fast, networked, full duplexed scanning with a large Automated Document Feeder (ADF). The price was a bit higher than I really felt that it should be for what it is, but after buying it and using it, I've found that it's worth the money, hands down.Pros: Small footprint, fast, networked, large ADF, full colorCons: Software is somewhat lacking, Network is wired only, not a good browser-based web UI for itFinal thoughts:If you're like me and you are drowning in stacks of paper, consider this scanner. I will say that I didn't find any of the included software would be able to meet my needs/desires for digital organizing, and there are limited options relative to this in the general market. Being a software engineer myself, I have started to build a browser-based tagging and organizing system for this. But there may be other simpler options for you depending on your needs and desires.

Owned for a month. I had my computer tech download the driver or whatever it took to get it operational so I can't say how hard it is to connect to your computer. I had the older version of this that lasted 9 years. One thing about buying from Amazon vs Office Depot is I bought the 4 year warranty. I hope I don't have issues. I'm retiring in 3.5 years.

Great product , make my job easier and well constructed. I have not had any issues with it thus far .
