With a price tag of £320 (luckily I caught on a prime day deal for £240) I expected ALOT from this headset and to my surprise it has exceeded my expectations not only in terms of quality but also with the accompanying software. That said, the microphone may be sub-par in some peoples opinion especially if you’re used to using a separate microphone like myself. From the brief testing I done with some friends on Discord the microphone is adequate but nothing special.As said previously, the accompanying software, Steelseries GG, is brilliant for tuning the headset to suit your needs and allows you to split different applications into different tuning categories such as Spotify into the Aux category whilst CS2 being separated into the gaming category with different tuning settings which I used to enhance footsteps etc. There is also the ability to audio level mix which, for those that don’t know, means you can change the music level to game level to the perfect setting tailored to you. The software also offers a lot of other features that some may use and other may not but overall, though cluttered with extra functions, is a great bit of software.Another feature I was very happy with was the charging system. In comparison to my previous headset (HyperX cloud 3 wireless) this one doesn’t have as long battery life though this is offset but provision of 2 batteries meaning you can charge one whilst the other is in the headset and has a pretty seamless transition when changing batteries mid game. The batteries are charged within the mix/audio dock that also functions as the wireless connect to the headset so I’d suggest trying to keep it within line of site of the headset when possible just to help guarantee connection though I’ve worn the headset on the opposite side of my house a number of times without any issues.I could go on all day about how excellent this unit has been for me but don’t have the patience to continue this already started essay :)In summary: if you can afford it, get it. If you can’t, wait for a deal. It’s been worth every penny

All the aspects of a gaming headset you'd want - great sound quality, excellent battery life, low latency, etc - but where this headset really shines is the base station. Two batteries are included in the box, and you can hot-swap them to always be topped up with no wires to charge and no downtime. Just take off one of the magnetic side panels, rip out the battery and swap it with the one charging from the base station.This headset also includes Bluetooth, which is a lifesaver if you want to play a video from your phone, take a phone call, etc. Everything just works and it's so worth the extra price.There are only two downsides I've experienced after a year of use - if you walk far, far away from the base station and it loses connection completely, there's a chance the headset will make a dangerously loud sound. If you're walking outside your house to take out the bins, it's best to take them off. Also, it's not built for travel - don't expect to take this on the go. It would work, but the headband is solid metal, meaning it's heavy and doesn't fit well into bags - plus the ear cups don't fold, so it'd take up a lot of space.Overall, it's the last gaming headset you'll need for a very long time. Either run through multiple cheaper headsets, or stick to this one for years.

After buying Sony Pulse and Sony H5 headphones for PS5, I was always left a little disappointed with the sound, especially the surround sound ability.I was hesitant to pay so much for a gaming headphone, but thought I could always return them if they were not worth it.They are definately keepers. In my opinion, the sound is better than the Sony, deeper, tighter, warmer.. just a better sound, but the surround sound is noticeably better.From knowing ‘someone is behind me’ in COD, to knowing exactly where they are behind you. They are literally game changing as you can spin round to face the exact direction you can hear your enemies.Build quality feels very premium, and the battery swapping idea is great. Far better than occasionally being plugged in when you forget to charge.
