This is a great product. It was a gift for my dad to avoid cuts and bumps when he is working on cars. He is a mechanic and says that his is lightweight, yet it protects him from bumps. It can be cut to fit smaller caps.

I used this while corner marshaling at an SCCA race weekend recently. Helped keep my head warm and my wet cap off my head. Gives some surprisingly effective protection from bumping your head on low beams, getting smacked by balls of race rubber off racecars, etc. I put it in 3 different hats and it fit well in 2 of them - the third had a rivet keeping the back strap attached to the cap and it didn't allow the Skullerz from tucking into that hat. If you're using this in just one hat it's easy enough to trim the Skullerz to fit nicely in your ball cap, but if you want to use it in different ball caps then I found it fit differently in each cap, so consider each cap before trimming. I'm using it without trimming and it is acceptable in my flagging cap.

WOW! I can't believe they didn't make these years ago! These bump caps not only protect your head from bumps and scrapes but it will also turn your old lumpy worn out hat into a structured solid new looking hat!! I couldn't believe it!?!I probably have 15 hats around here I won't wear because they are unstructured and lumpy. Just slide this bump cap inside the hat and it'll make your hat look like a high dollar fully structured hat!I do have to mention that I did have to do a small amount of trimming but this isn't a big deal. It's designed nearly perfectly to slide into the ridge on the sweatband on the inside of the hat and it slides in almost perfectly (with a small amount of trimming). I give this product 5 stars! They should have made these bump caps 30 years ago! Very happy! 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So I gave this a try. Ordered last night 3/3/2025 at 11:35pm. Said would arrive next day, but didn't really believe it, but sure enough it was here today 3/4/2025. Easy to put in my ballcap, but is it going to be worth a darn. So I took a Cresent wrench and hit my head with it, yeah I know why would I do that? Because if it can take a mild hit sideways, then a pointed hit, my head would be just fine. And the mild hit just fine, time to up my game to pointed side and much harder. And nothing. Sure you feel something, but zero pain, so just because I have it a good wack, protected! In my line of work, (concert production) I'm feeling pretty confident should something fall, my skull would be just. And for the money,just do it.

Alright now this is a pretty cool idea. I work as a Low Voltage Electrician for IBEW Local 11 for about 10 years now. Right now I’m currently working at (LAUSD) Los Angeles Unified School District. It’s nothing but confined space(man holes) and attics that I’m in. So here at the schools they don’t require hard hats and I love that lol. So I like the idea that you can still have your head protected with this bump cap while inside the attics. You can’t even feel that it’s in there while wearing it. I also wear headlamps over my cap and I usually can feel the tightness of the headlamp and it makes my head hurt after awhile. But with this bump cap, I don’t feel that anymore so that’s another big plus for me! I naturally run hotter than everyone else and this does not add to the heat which I am glad. No one can tell you have it on because it’s not visible to everyone else unless you take it off and show them inside your cap. $9 is a steal! I like that you can put it in multiple caps bc I don’t always wear the same one. I have about 24 caps lol. So this is definitely a must have. Shoot, I’d even wear this when I’m camping or doing anything outdoors with the possibility of hitting your head.

I liked the first version but this is a great upgrade. It’s more breathable than the previous version, plain and simple it does its job. It protects your head. Depending on the hat you put it in it will take some getting use to. But besides that fits good.
