Great Stuff!
I live 2 miles from the beach in South Carolina. My soil is sand. This grass seed popped up baby grass all over on day 4.I used a rake to loosen the dirt, hand tossed seed around, and raked it a bit to mix it in. Watered 3-4x a day (it’s been 85-95 degrees out) and so far so good!I only bought a little bag not realizing how little it was and now I’ll be coming back for the big bag to put more down!

Awesome but pricey
Best grass seed around. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. It is costing me a fortune to grass my yard. Works very well though. Scott’s is a great brand

Dissapointing
I tried this hoping I wouldn't have to buy new sod to cover a dead patch in our yard. I layered the heck out of that patch with half a bag and it didnt do squat. Ended up going with Sod instead. Im in South Carolina, and we get plenty of rain.

Prep is Key
You have to properly prep for this to work. When I first bought this we raked up the soil, added some top soil then used a spreader. After a week of watering nothing happened. Decided to try again this time raked, added topsoil + compost manure and raked it in. Then spread by hand. Raked it in and spread another layer on top that we lightly raked. I've been watering 3-4x a day and am on day 6, there's so much growth. It's filling in beautifully. Wish I'd understood the prep part sooner, we'd have a full lawn by now. Absolutely worth the money.

Nothing grew. Do not buy. Or buy it and throw your money away.
Let me tell you a story. A story of hope, excitement, and ultimately… grass-less despair.I was pumped when this arrived. “Grows green grass in just weeks,” it said. “Sun & shade mix!” Perfect! I had just the spot in my yard, a patch of land that had seen better days. I even imagined my 8-year-old running barefoot through the lush, green grass, laughing in slow motion like a stock photo.I followed the instructions like a lawn-cultivating monk. I aerated. I raked. I gently whispered encouragement to the soil. I evenly spread HALF the bag—because, you know, science. I watered it religiously, monitored the weather like a farmer, and waited. And waited. And waited some more.Spoiler alert: Not. One. Blade. Grew.At first, I thought maybe I overwatered it. Then I thought maybe I underwatered it. Then I started Googling, “Can you curse grass into existence?” because I was officially in denial. After two weeks, the only thing growing was my frustration and one very smug-looking dandelion that seemed to be mocking me from the side.I even bent down at one point and thought I saw a sprout. Nope. Just a weirdly shaped pebble. So now I’m left with half a bag of what I can only assume is very expensive brown confetti and a completely bald patch of lawn that now serves as a monument to disappointment. My child asked if we could paint the dirt green so it “looks like something is happening.”Unless your goal is to throw money directly into the ground and watch it not grow, I’d stay far, far away from this product. Consider donating your cash to your local nursery instead—or better yet, just tape some green construction paper to your yard. Thanks, Scotts, for teaching me that sometimes, dreams really do dry up and blow away with the wind.

Spreading the seeds out to thin makes it easier for the grass to burn
This product is the real deal, prepping is important and even more important is in my opinion is to overseed your area, I noticed the more thicker areas do very well as opposed to spreading it out more, the grass burns more easily in the sun. I wanted to stretch it out to cover more area but regretted doing so.
