These Whiteside router bits are very sharp and well made. They come in a convenient case which is a good way to protect them when they are being stored. Buy high quality bits, it's worth it.

These things spin at an astronomical speed. Even with protective gear you can get seriously hurt from fragmented metals shearing off the bits. The quality of Whiteside bits are the finest on the market. Buy once, cry once.

This review is not about how the router bits performed, rather it is more about how rough shipping can be sometimes -- and how Whiteside protects their bits from that.When I first opened my package my heart sank a little bit because the 4 piece router bit set's bits were all loose and rattling around their case. I thought "great, I wonder how nicked all of the edges are? " Well I forgot that Whiteside is actually a fairly premium bit and was delighted to see that they were fully protected by a thick waxy protective coating. This is the coating that is on my Freud bits when I buy them too.In the pictures you can that the shipping was so rough that the foam insert had mostly popped out! I'm really surprised that the case survived. Coating saved the day for the bits. Thank you Whiteside for thinking ahead.

As others have noted, you pay for Whiteside but it's worth it in the long run.

I am very happy with my purchase! It came in a box and the blades where in a plastic container sitting on a foam with holes individually. I was very impressed seeing how they covered the blades with a smooth plastic wrap separately for protection.The blades are very sharp and well made.Thanks for making our lives easier!
