Quality and choices that don't break the bank.
The clarity and resolution was amazing. No reason to not leave it on the highest setting. The accessory remote wrist switch made it real easy to switch from photo to video while wearing on my helmet. The buttons need a heavy push to operate. That would be my only nit-pick.

Great Camera
The AKASO Brave 7 LE has exceeded my expectations as a budget-friendly action camera. It delivers impressive 4K30FPS video quality with vibrant colors and sharp details, making it perfect for capturing outdoor adventures. The 20MP still images are equally impressive, offering crisp and clear photos

For Dash Cam
So far this is a nice little camera for the price and easy to use. My primary use is for my vehicle dash cam. The user manual states you can use this camera without the battery (as long as it's connect to the vehicle usb power source) while in "driving" mode. So I left the battery out and it took me several days ( and contacting Akaso customer service) to finally determined you need the battery installed in order to save the settings, for the camera to turn on simultaneous with the vehicle. I went through a lot of steps to figure that out (including firmware update). Frustrating to say the least (because the manual is not clear). Otherwise I would have rated it a 5 star.

Good camera. Love that its small and compact. Great for Urbex & Paranormal Investigations. Only problem is I cant figure out how to upload it to a computer.

A great little package!
This little camera has it all! It’s a complete package! Front and rear screens, under water case, plenty of mounting choices, 4K, time lapse, remote control, WiFi, an app, 2 batteries and all for a great price.I ended up buying a second camera

Closer to GoPro and Dji than you think!
$117. Out the door!!! You are joking, right? Nope. I checked out some YouTube videos and all the comparisons between this and the Gopro 9, I think it was, we're not too far off. This camera actually won out in a few categories vs. The Gopro. Initially, I was going to buy the Dji Osmo Action 4, but when you factor in how comparable this camera is vs either of the above-mentioned, and unless you are vlogging and the small differences matter that much, I couldn't justify paying $250 to $300 more. The fact that this camera is in the same arena as the other two is reason enough. Personally, I thought the picture on this camera was crisper vs the Gpro in every comparison I watched. So unless it outright doesn't work, it's safe to say we're off to a great start. Oh, and when you add in the same accessories for the other two that this comes with standard, I think the price difference is closer to $400. Shoot, for $117 even if it didn't work, I could buy 3 more before I approach the cost of the others. Now let's see if it works.

(almost) perfect for tennis videos
The media could not be loaded. This action camera is almost perfect for capturing my tennis training and matches for technical analysis. I needed a camera that could record my gameplay from a high vantage point, and this one delivers exactly that. Why It Works So Well for Tennis Videos:The best part is that it comes with a standard 1/4-inch tripod screw mount, making it easy to attach to different setups. I built a hook on a monopod myself and simply hook the camera onto the top of the fence. It works flawlessly for this purpose.I previously tried using my consumer camcorder, but its lens wasn't wide enough to capture the entire court. This action camera, however, has a wide-angle lens that provides a full-court view when placed at the back fence. Even better, it includes a built-in distortion correction feature, which ensures that the court lines remain perfectly straight—something essential for proper analysis.Video Quality and Performance:The camera supports multiple video resolutions, including 4K, 2.7K, and 1080p (1920x1080). While the video quality is decent, it’s not as sharp as my digital camcorder or the latest smartphones. I found 1920x1080 to be the most practical setting for my needs. It can also capture up to 120fps, which is perfect for recording and analyzing slow-motion strokes. Why Not Just Use a Phone? In theory, a smartphone could do the job, but there are several drawbacks:I don't want to risk damaging my phone by mounting it on a fence.I often use my phone during training, so I can’t dedicate it solely to recording.A typical training session lasts about two hours, consuming tens of gigabytes of storage—far more than what my phone can easily handle.Phones work well for short clips, but for long, uninterrupted recordings, this action camera is a much better choice. How It Compares to a GoPro:A GoPro could certainly do this job, but this camera is cheaper and more compact while still having a built-in tripod mount. I just screw it onto my monopod, hook it on the fence, and start recording—simple and hassle-free.Battery Life & Other ConsiderationsThe battery lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours per charge.Any shaking in the video isn’t due to the camera itself but rather the fence moving when the ball hits it.Future Use: Mountain BikingI also plan to test this camera for mountain biking and will report back on how well it performs in that setting.Overall, if you're looking for an affordable, easy-to-mount action camera for recording long tennis sessions, this is a great option!Update Feb. 2025: after two years of over one hundred tennis videos , this camera still holds well. Some thought after the two year's use:1. The battery still holds as about 2hours. Good thing is that the package comes with 2 batteries. For a longer match that extends beyond two hours, I have to switch a battery.2. the 4K 30fps is useless for tennis videos. I need at least 60 fps for sure. So the maximum quality I can capture is 1920x1080 at 60fps. Tried 120fps but don't see visible difference.3. Low light quality is not that good. I took some night play tennis. It is viewable quality but certainly not that good.I may consider buying a new action camera that supports 4K at 60fps and good in low light condition (because I play a lot tennis at night in summer). Not decided on which brand yet.

Get what you pay for...
It's ok...Not real pleased with the mounting stuff no easy way to mount quick release to camera. What you would expect for the price as far as picture quality, I don't think the battery's have the amount of run time they say, I haven't used it in action yet but just playing with it used a lot of battery. It'll work as long as the mount doesn't fail. It does warm up pretty quick.
