I have never fitted my own grips before these. Quite straight forward, but taking care removing old ones from graphite shafts. The longest part of the job was removing old tape prior to refitting new grips. The old grips were the original manufacturer fitted "Winn" ones. My personal observation was that the old grips felt a little more substantial than the Saplize replacements. Having said that, once fitted they feel fine, but have yet to try them in action. These grips look like Golf Pride, but how they compare I can't say, but for the same number of grips you would be paying nearer £150 for the big brand. All in all I am quite happy with these grips, and now feel more confident in doing grip replacement.

The kit has the hook blade that made removing the old grips really easy. The grip tape has the perforation down the middle that makes removing the backing tape simple and the solvent is a good sized bottle that i used copiously and still had some left after completing 11 grips. The grips are just the right size for me (midsize) and I managed to put all on without mishap- check out you tube for how to do this- the key is "there's never TOO much solvent". One thing to watch is to keep the excess solvent off the outside of the grip as it does make the colour dye run. In total though a well priced pack with all that you need apart form a vice (you do get the rubber insert for holding the club in the vice).

Easy to fit

Very impressed with what was in the kit. The solution great, grip tape great and most of all, the grips are great. For me, there's lots of traction on the grips and plenty of feel, so very happy. Regripped all my irons and the driver. Although the driver was a challenge, and whilst pushing a bit too hard, managed to damage/split the grip. But hey, 13 grips, so no problem. Definitely value for money and delivery was excellent.

Returning to the gane after years and decided to replace my grips with this kit, all parts were supplied along with instructions. Easy to fit with plenty of solvent solution. The grips are very nice and feel like the more expensive brands with no smell from the grip. Time will tell on how they last but first impressions are great.

Would recommend grips and stripping knife, as a a first time user found spray and tape strips difficult to use, found white spirit and golf tape better option.

The style and colour look really good, fitted yesterday, quite easy to do. Let's hope the grips don't ware down too quickly.
