MindWareMarble Run and Add-on Set - 120+ Piece Building Set for Kids Plus Over 20 Marbles

Love this set! A 3yo relative received a smaller 55 piece set recently and I felt like it needed more, so I came online and bought this 103 piece that that also included the 19 piece add on set, so it's really 122 piece set plus the marbles. In the meantime another relative came and "borrowed" the 55 piece set, but that turns out ok, because while the 55 piece set comes up short when trying to make a cool marble run, this 122 piece set does not. It really has everything to make multiple cool and most importantly STABLE marble runs. This set also has clear tracks and chutes, which really does make it more fun to see marbles dropping through. There is only one piece that I found kind of useless and that's the little yellow claw that fits over the cool mesmerizing red bowl. The yellow claw does not fit properly on the red bowl and comes loose making your marble run unstable, but it's the only piece that I found unusable everything else contributes to a great marble run. So is it going to teach your child about engineering? Probably not because the adults will be playing with it!

This is AWESOME! Im really picky about everything. I wanted one of the Hape marble runs because I live Hape tots and the runs are sooo pretty. But they're just sooooo expensive, so I settled on a plastic run. I'm glad I did. We have so many pieces and can build such a variety of runs. And they're bright and colorful. The pieces are easy enough for my five year old to put together and take apart, but tight enough to stay together. Now, if you pick it up to move it, something is going to fall off. But it's easy to fix. I have a lot of fun with this thing. Oh, and so does my five year old. ;)

I purchased this for my 4-year-old son for Christmas, and it was his favorite present from Santa. I also purchased the expansion pack from MindWare for a few more dollars. It adds a few parts you can't get in the regular set, and I think it's worth it. Compared to many other marble runs on the market, this one is made of stronger and sturdier plastic. The pieces fit together well and are sturdy. Unlike other reviewers who mentioned being upset by this set having no instructions, my son and I enjoyed using our imaginations. It teaches him trial and error and the basics of physics. My teenage sons also enjoy helping him build. One minor quibble: It only comes with two marble returns/marble collectors. I think there should be at least three if not four. That way, you can send the marbles on more runs/paths without them backing up or getting stuck. Other than that, we love it. Works nice, my grandson loves it. Only thing is sometimes when touched to roughly it will fall apart.

I looked at a lot of marble run sets and settled on this one. When it arrived, the pieces seem to be very solid and well made. It's for my four-year-old grandson for Christmas and I know he'll love it. I love that it came with extra pieces and that regular marbles can be used in it.

Gave this to my two granddaughters, ages 4 and 6. Was a hit from the start, they were literally jumping up and down with excitement as the marbles banged their way along. I was pleased to see that when it gets toppled, or pulled on, the pieces were good about pulling apart rather than breaking, at least so far.

Pieces fit tightly, but not too tightly. Uses regular marbles. Just the right amount of cross pieces and small straight pieces (not three times more small straight pieces than you need so they could put a higher number of pieces on the box). Just perfect. Had for three years now and has held up extremely well.

By far one of the best marble run sets out there. My kids love playing with the first set so much I purchased another set and the add on. The pieces are thick and we haven’t had any issues with the pieces.
