WORX trimmer edger
I just got this, was able to charge the battery to full, made sure it had power before snapping the handle together (suggested by another reviewer) and went out to do some trimming. The weight is light and the size is suitable for me as I'm 5'2". I'm a senior woman and I found this easy to use, it's pretty basic. It's powerful enough to do what I need it to do and it's not too noisy. It's definitely quieter than the gasoline powered ones I've been around!I had some areas that were overgrown that it cut down with no problems. I was in the process of edging when quite suddenly, I was out of line! The battery was still going strong, I had been at it 15-20 minutes when the line ran out.Another reviewer had a tip and that was about the button on the side. You press it and hold the handle to start and then you can let go of the buttonI was using this trimmer/ edger to knock down where I can't with the mower.. small areas of yard, along fence lines, around trees, next to buildings, and the edging next to a curb that hadn't been done in ages. It was durable enough to get the job done.I'm happy with my purchase so far for what I got done and I've ordered a multi pack of line! 🤠

Worked very well for what I needed
Bought this model because shaft length is adjustable. I'm 6'2" tall and it worked perfectly for me. the head is adjustable so it remains parallel to ground when shaft length is changed. A very nice feature. I've not tried the edger feature but I imagine the rolller guide wheel will make that job much easier.summary: Very good run time with fully charged battery. Light and easy to use. I recommend this as a substitute for most gas powered trimmers. I was able to power through some taller grass with no issues. Frankly, I ran out of stuff to trim so for an average house I'm guessing a single battery will do the job. It is important to charge each before use. It takes along time (hours) so an overnight charge is best. Note: for me, this trimmer/ line combination will not cut down thicker stuff like saplings. But I didn't expect it to.

Very good weed trimmer
I already own several different sizes of batteries in this platform so the tool only price is good.It is definitely light enough for me with a bad back. My corded previous one was just too front heavy and caused me to lean forward while holding it up. This is MUCH better. The pole length adjustment is also nice because being 6ft4, most are too short. This extends long enough that I don't have to lean forward. Also, it shortens up that I can get the weeds on top of the tie wall without having to hold it awkwardly. The edger feature with the wheels did work well as position goes. It definitely has the power to do it.The "command feed" feature is really handy but it takes getting used to at first. Once I got the hang of it, wow, I feel spoiled. Also, the spool holder add-on to the handle is a nice touch to keep a spare spool with the tool.I appreciate that they demonstrate how one can re-wrap the line spools oneself. The line the tool ships with is just too light for my weeds apparantly and I use a heavier line. The heavier line, by the way, helps the edger function do a much better job.

Powerful and easy to operate.
This trimmer is very lightweight and powerful. I used the edger today and with the wheels attached for edging it makes it very easy. Another feature that is great is the push button line feed, it is so easy to the string. No bumping needed.

Great product
I highly recommend this!!! My grass was about 3 foot high and it cut thru it with ease. It came charged and included the charger. It's light weight and easy on your hands. No uncomfortable vibrations while using it!! For the size of my yard the string has yet to run out!!!!

Good product for the money.
My 2 nd one of these, I dropped the first one and broke the wheels off. They work ok as long as the grass isn’t too long or thick.

High Hopes, Falls Short of Being Great
I bought a Worx hedge trimmer a couple years back that was a major game changer in convenience and the amount of time it would take me to trim 8 large bushes in our backyard pool area (on a ladder, ~10ft bushes at their peak growth) compared to the old corded trimmer I made do with for so long; am VERY happy with the Worx hedge trimmer - the ergonomics, weight, adjustable grip, battery life, trimmer length - all great stuff (actually the double trigger safety is concerning and only sounds safer than it really is, problem being when you carry it via the handle like anyone does with normal use you’re depressing the button on the handle and therefore half the trigger safety system is already bypassed, which in my opinion is dangerous). So when I finally got tired of replacing parts on my 6 year old Toro gas weed trimmer (2 carbs, spark plug, gas lines/primer bulb, 2 pull start ropes, new string reel cap, not to mention gas and oil, etc.) thought now would be a good time to see how an electric Worx weed trimmer would do for me seeing as I am so happy with the hedge trimmer. Initial impression of the weed trimmer — very lightweight construction, I love that I can quickly shorten the telescoping trimmer body to save space in my shed, the highly adjustable hand holds are great and already having the hedge trimmer means two additional batteries I can swap between both tools when I run out of charge. My biggest disappointments and complaints with the Worx weed trimmer are - the single sided whip line, small capacity string cartridges, a somewhat convenient but annoying line feed button, small diameter string limitation, and noticeable degradation in trimmer power when the battery meter reads at half capacity. To elaborate on my complaints — the working end of the tool that spins only has a string exiting one side as opposed to any gas trimmer I’ve ever used which have always had two opposing strings, one string doing the work of two is very noticeable especially with a limitation of a smaller diameter lighter weight whip line that breaks way more frequently. The result of this is consuming almost one full cartridge per lawn care routine and what would normally take me about 12-15 mins with my old gas trimmer now takes 20-25 mins to finish the weed trimming and edging part of my yard routine as I have to move much slower due to having less cutting power at my disposal. I suspect the cartridges are as small as they are because of weight and trying to not bog down the motor with more rotating mass than necessary which would quickly kill battery life (hence the single string exit). The line feed button itself is fine but the manner and execution to get more line is clumsy to the point you’ll have neighbors ask if you need to borrow their trimmer because when you feed line you have to simultaneously start and stop the trimmer repeatedly which makes it sound like your trimmer is dying. Lastly the power delivery on a battery when it reaches half discharge is very noticeable, you’ll be in the middle of a section running the trimmer hitting grass only to realize you’re now overworking the string and have to move even slower to get it to cut. — Overall I think this Worx weed trimmer is probably a fantastic light duty tool for smaller areas and homeowners with little space for tools, personally I wouldn’t classify my 1/4 acre lot as anything with heavy duty needs but this trimmer does seem to struggle with it and has made me getting another gas trimmer once the batteries no longer hold a charge. For what it’s worth to the fine ppl at Worx, I’m an industrial designer (+10yrs), I’m aware of your design practices and anthropometric considerations and am an overall fan of your products but this one really is mismarketed and should be sold as a light duty product, I think a heavy duty model would be awesome.
