Works on Aluminum
Delivered promptly! I needed hole in fairly thick aluminum and it worked as it should. My need and use was for a specific purpose and wasn’t needed or intended for daily work so I cannot attest to its longevity. It served it’s purpose for me.

Very sharp!
I really only needed this for ONE USE, but the price was right compared to hardware stores! It's sharp and will cut through my BBQ wall to install a cold smoker.

Successfully enlarged soap holder sink hole!
I am a weekend warrior with enough self belief to tackle this job. This bit worked as advertised. I needed to enlarge a 1in hole in stainless steel to 1.25in. Using a Harbor Freight corded hammer drill and a 1980s craftsman power drill AND 3-in-1 oil, I was able to step up to 1.25in. It took time and effort. I probably could've been way more liberal with the oil. I had to rotate drills and then allow them time to cool down. If you had someone applying the oil and another person applying pressure to the drill perhaps it would go faster. I went slow as I could in the beginning. Eventually I applied more oil and went faster, to the point of smoking the oil, but it worked.

Has limits
I got this for the purpose of drilling into a chunk of hardwood. After 1/2" was engaged, it became very slow and tended to burn, more than drill. I had to very actively apply and release pressure on my drill press to get this to work. I also had to permit it to rest for 30 minutes a couple times also, as the bit became very hot.Works great in softer material, but that's not why I purchased it.
