Quality! Incredibly Clean and Creamy Whey Isolate Protein
This protein is great and clean. It's unflavored, and very creamy. I use it in my morning coffee. One scoop of protein, one scoop of collagen peptide, a splash of milk and top off with coffee. I use a hand held milk frother to mix. It mixes like a dream. No clumps, just creamy and frothy. My coffee is transformed into a latte that is good for me as well. I was using regular whey before and some days it makes me gassy or bloated. I've been drinking this whey isolate the past two weeks. No has, bloating, or tummy issues at all. Isolate is more expensive, but worth it if you have sensitivity. If you don't think you can have milk based protein, maybe give isolate a try.The bottle was filled all the way to the top with protein. A scoop is included.Love this protein. I'm going to buy the bulk bag going forward and just refill my tub.

The search for protein
So I’ve had gastric sleeve and regained weight. I’ve been using a small dose of Mounjaro to get my weight back down and just rejump start my surgery. Since starting it i literally can’t eat or drink anything. A few sips of water and I feel extremely full. So I've had a VERY hard time getting enough to eat let alone protein. I also have an aversion to milks and protein powder. Like, I smell it and I wanna puke or taste it and gag. I drink the premier protein drinks usually but every once in a while I get a chunky one and then cannot drink them again. (Texture issues suck) I’ve tried so many protein bars and shakes and I get one bite or one sip and noooope. So I found the protein2O clear drinks (great taste but too much to drink for me for only 20 grams) and realized there’s a clear protein! Say whaaa okay so deep dive into that but find an unflavored powder and brought here. I’ve had so many experiences of being excited and then throwing up, so I was hesitant. The smell reminds me of just a carton of plain milk. No real scent per se, but that’s my best description. The directions say 1 scoop for 8 oz but I started with half a scoop in my cottage cheese and yogurt. (Since my bowl is already small, no way a whole scoop would combine into that!) and it mixed well. I do think I will try mixing just the cottage cheese with the powder and then add the yogurt as it took away the sweetness of my cherry yogurt. It didn’t change the flavor of it or anything it just diluted the flavor and added a more milk-y taste to it. Not too bad. I made it through the whole bowl and didn’t seem to have a texture issue of it being gritty or anything like that. Which could have just been my choice of cottage cheese covering the texture, but it worked. I can’t say it’s unflavored though. Like I said it gives off a milk taste. Nothing like a regular protein powder or drink though. I’m not a fan of milk so it’s still not something I’m like “yay wahoo put it in everything.!” But for now no gritty texture in my cottage cheese so that’s a great start! I might work up to adding it to other things but we will see. I don’t think it’s a good thing to mix with sweet things though like I said it diluted the favor of my cherry yogurt so just think about the things your mixing it with. Value wise 16 servings is stated on the bag compared to the 16 pack of premier protein shakes, it’s a bit cheaper than the premier protein. Not by much, but is comparable and more on the affordable side of protein for sure. It has no other fluff or frills though like the premier protein with vitamins. it’s just protein. Do with that what you will.

Clumps with hot liquids
Plus: no flavor, no smell, no weird additives so it’s not an ultra processed foodMinus (big) it clumps in hot liquids. I tried adding it to my bone broth and it turned into a bunch of clumps like little dumplings. Used a whisk and a frother to try and break it up without success. It’s great I. Smoothies and yogurt though.

Some pitfalls but still worth the buy
I'm lactose intolerant and it does not seem to have caused any new stomach issues. However, it does have an absolutely noticeable milky smell and flavor - perhaps because I'm hyper sensitive from years of trying to avoid milk products. The smell was off putting at first, but I kept with it for a couple of weeks, and I think the trade-off is worth it for such a simple ingredient list compared to my past protein powders. As for the comments about it being clumpy, it's been a hit or miss for me. Still trying to figure out the best technique. When I've mixed it with my collagen, matcha or coffee powder before adding hot water, it clumps like crazy and honestly ruins the whole beverage because it's hard to get any of it unclumped. When I carefully mix it into hot liquid before putting in any of my other powders, there's usually only one to two small clumps that are easily broken up. It works really well with shakers though, but that tends to be limited to cold beverages. I've also tried sprinkling it directly onto food (i.e. spaghetti), which was a mistake lol. If you choose to go to the food route, mix it into a sauce or liquid before adding it to the rest of the dish. Works fine tossing it into overnight oats though.Hope this helps someone! Despite the aforementioned pitfalls, I still think it's worth the straightforward ingredients and protein bump.
