Safely work with a fire! Protects your hands and arms!
We have used these gloves several times, and so far, they are awesome! We initially purchased the gloves for use with our fireplace, but we ended up using them (so far) at our firepit outside. We are able to pick up burning logs to rearrange the fire, while wearing these gloves. Even though a log can be on fire...we can pick it up safely while wearing the gloves. We can feel some heat/warmth, but our hands stay safe.Pros:Sized so small or large hands will fit well in the glovesWell made- and I mean well madeTHICK materialProtects hands and arms from fire/heatThey are longer (in person) than they appear in the pictures, so they also protect your forearmsInexpensive- I was not expecting them to be so nice considering the price. A really good buy.Cons:None so far

Transfers heat pretty quickly
Nice gloves and fit my larger hands well. I use these for grilling, removing hot ceramic plates, hot metal etc. I ordered this based on the high review score, my previous welding gloves I bought from home depot about 6 years ago transferred way less heat to my hands then these, I was surprised in how short a time the item I was holding felt VERY hot. These sure don't seem as thick as my much older and now very stiff pair from HD. They are useable but one needs to be much more careful handling hot items and have a ready landing spot close by. I was expecting at least equal performance to my older HD pair.

Protection against the bear trap
I got these for one of our cats -- the one who gets the big-eye then rolls over on his back with his legs splayed, pretending he wants his belly rubbed. BUT DON'T FALL FOR IT! If you do, the claws and teeth come out, AND YOU WILL PAY! But he does want to play... it's just in a way that results in blood and tears if you're not prepared. Hence, the Gloves of Doom! I used to use an old pair of padded motorcycle gloves, but the leather was just too thin to withstand the abuse. These are exactly what I was looking for.p.s. They're also useful if he doesn't want to go to the vet.

Do not use these welding.
I bought these gloves because I needed a new pair and wanted to try something new. I found them doing research on a welding review website. I wore them the first day and I know this style of gloves usually need a day to break in. I wore them the next day and they are very tough to put on and take off when you’re sweaty. The hand section of the glove gets stuck to your hand and comes out with your hand. Then the gloves are really hard to put back on. Also, I noticed that the part where they sewed the inner hand part in ripped. I wore theses for 3 days of welding and they were not great. I will not wear them anymore. I Did like the length of them and they were comfortable when you had them on. They were thinner than other gloves I had and weren’t good with heat resistance.

Great gloves at a reasonable price
These are solid gloves I bought for handling BBQ duties, particularly for working deep down inside a pit barrel smoker. They perform as expected, and their size and shape allow for easy on and off without fighting in either direction; the hang tabs are handy for storing near the grill while cooking without taking up table space once a small piece of cord is looped through them. One of the hems had stitching that wandered a little, causing the cotton lining to not be secured along a portion of the seam. Touched it up with high-temp RTV Copper silicone, problem solved. Ignoring that one small detail, they resist high heats well, which is what they're designed to do.

Got a nice bale of gloves on sale. These are correctly listed as size "large."
I don't have exceedingly large hands: I fit a standard size 10 glove. These stretch to fit nicely, altho' I won't know how well they will work long term until I've had a chance to wash a pair & see if they shrink too much to use more than once. At least the size description is *accurate*, unlike so many inexpensive clothing items found on Amazon which suffer from the "Asian inch" problem of being at least two sizes smaller than their size as marked. Update: 1st pair thru the wash, held up fine, didn't shrink to the point of not fitting any longer: I'm pleased!

Work great for adding wood to HOT fireplace insert
I use these for a wood burning fireplace insert. They work awesome for putting in a new log when you have a nice coal bed. Using regular thin cloth gloves I could feel the heat in seconds and you had to almost toss the log in. Now with these leather gloves that is no longer a problem. They have a comfortable inner lining that helps them fit snug without being too tight or feel bulky like some other leather gloves.

Great gloves for wood stove use, great price
So I don't weld, but I needed a pair of gloves that can withstand a lot of heat, since we heat our home with a wood stove. I use the gloves to stick wood into the stove while it's burning, and it seems to be doing fine. I just got them and haven't used them much because it's been fairly warm out. I may update this post after a month or so. I like that these gloves go above the wrist. It's well insulated and comfortable to use. Leather appears to be pretty high quality, and the price is excellent. It also looks as expected.
