New Power Unlocked!
I honestly was a total noob when it came to understanding how Thunderbolt cables worked. I was getting so frustrated when I could not get my Samsung 4K monitor to properly show a higher resolution but at 60hz refresh rate. I could only select 1440p with a LOW resolution—which made all the text "bleed"—since I only had a regular HDMI cable. I could select a higher resolution, but the refresh rate capped out at 30hz, which is a total no-no for me.Researched this issue and found out that I needed a better cable, which brought me to this Anker one. I didn't even know that this Samsung monitor already has a USB-C port! Admittedly, when I first plugged in a regular USB-C cable (mainly used to charging and simple data transfer), I was confused as to why my laptop was not connecting to the monitor.Lo and behold, I'm finally capable of using ALL available resolutions now at the full 60hz refresh rate with this Thunderbolt cable. The text is way clearer and I no longer have to use the low resolution setting! I can't believe I did not know this before since I was honestly about to buy Apple's Studio Display for almost $2K since I actually thought this monitor was not fully compatible with my laptop. Best of all, this cable also charges and can sustain the charge for my MacBook Pro 14", M1 Pro.There is now no need for a USB-C dongle, no HDMI cable, my webcam is now connected to the back of the Samsung monitor (it has a three-port, USB-A hub), AND no need for the huge charging block and long USB-C wire—all because of ONE wire! Talk about cleanliness. For a Thunderbolt 5 cable, this is definitely cheaper than the one sold from Apple for $69. Worth the price, value, and the decluttering of wires. This braided wire gives it a premium feel. I do wish it was slightly longer since 1 meter isn't the longest; nonetheless, it gets the job done!Happy and satisfied with this purchase.

Anker for the win!
Works exactly as advertised; if you need a thunderbolt 5 cable to future proof your setup, then this is the one. It only took two days for it come to my house.

Great little cable
So short! So expensive! So fast! It really does transmit data quickly, and functions as expected. The USB C connection is secure and not flimsy or loose like other cables I’ve tried. Wonderful despite the high price.

Anker Thunderbolt 5 cable
The Anker Thunderbolt 5 cable was delivered on time. I wish that Anker would make the Thunderbolt 5 longer like 6 feet (2m) .

Excellent cable. Still ahead of its time.
(Anker Prime Thunderbolt 5 Cable, 3.3 FT USB C to USB C Cable, 240W Charging, 80Gbps Data Transfer, Up to 120Gbps Bandwidth, 8K/4K Displays, for iPhone 16, MacBook, and More (Thunderbolt 5-Certified) / $46 at the time of ordering)Thunderbolt 5 is a massive upgrade from Thunderbolt 4 but, currently, it’s very device specific. For Apple products, if you have a Mac with the M4 Pro or Max chips, you’ll benefit from this cable. But it won’t be as useful for the base M4 chip or lower models. There are a few main highlights of TB5. Mainly data transfer speeds, increased refresh rates for monitors and power delivery. But even though devices have started popping up in the last 8 months or so, there are still very few to mention.Personally, I’m using the cable to transfer large files (200GB+) at a time. For that, it’s excellent. When copying data, drives get hot and longer the drives are hot, the more their longevity is affected. So anything that can shorten that transfer speed time is a welcome addition. I’ve also noticed a difference using the cable with my NVMe enclosures, namely the ones that support 80Gbps speeds. They were already lightning fast with my TB4 cables (link below). But transfer speeds did increase by about 20%. Sometimes even a little higher. With regard to displays, you can do two 8K monitors at 120Hz (or three 4K displays at 144Hz). So if you have two Pro Display XDRs lying around, you could potentially use this to daisy-chain them. And while I only have a single Pro Display, if I did get another, I’d probably just run another cable directly from my Mac Studio. No biggie. So while this feature may be more useful to others, it’s a bit wasted on me.For productivity, I tried editing a bunch of RAW 4K & 8k footage using an external drive. I first edited footage using my TB4 cable. And then I did it again with this TB5 cable. I played with it for a bit trying to make sure I wasn’t just imagining any changes. And I did notice slightly smoother scrubbing. But it wan’t a massive upgrade as I wasn’t really having any issues in the first place. And when I ended the session using the TB4 cable, I didn't feel like it was lagging even though I had just experienced it with TB5.For gaming, I don’t game from external drives so, apologies, I can’t comment on that. And lastly, for power delivery, while it can deliver up to 240W of power, there aren’t many devices that can take advantage of that. If you specifically own the 16” MacBook Pro (Pro or Max version), then you’ll be able to get up to 140W of power delivery (as all other MacBooks have a max charging limit of 96W or lower). But again, that’s something that TB4 is also able to deliver. This cable is excellent. But it’s still a bit ahead of its time (with no fault to Anker or any of the other manufacturers). If you have TB5-capable devices, then this is worth considering. Plus you’ll be future-proofed for a bit. But if you don’t have the devices already in place to support the features of this cable, TB4 is still more than capable. You’d be able to save on the cost of the cable along with having access to many more TB4 devices and peripherals.Anker Prime Thunderbolt 4:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DDQDG6GF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ&th=1
