My wife has been recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Mast Cell Activation Disorder. Dust, smoke, and other particulate matter are a problem. Even more of a problem are odors, especially perfumes. Some odors can cause an anaphylactic reaction. I was skeptical that this mask would work, but a member on a support group suggested this mask. My wife and I are both nurses in an Urgent Care setting. My wife has a real problem when patients come in doused in cologne or perfume. You know the type of person, if a little perfume is good, then a lot must be better. She has had to be careful when working on these fragrant patients. She took the mask to work this week and IT WORKED! The mask filtered out the perfume and cologne odors. We could not believe that this mask worked so well. We've tried other masks that made similar claims and NONE of them worked as advertised. Not only does this mask filter well, but it fits. None of the other masks that we tried fit well. We could not make a tight seal, and without that a mask cannot function as it should. Also this mask doesn't muffle her voice. Other masks we tried muffled her voice. Now she can work with patients who are wearing strong perfumes and she can talk to them clearly. One last thing: all of the other masks that she tried became too warm and too moist. Those masks did not "breathe" well and were not at all comfortable to wear for any length of time. We are so happy with this mask that we will be purchasing many more so she can have multiple to wear at work and one for home. Unfortunately after she has a massive attack like she did four weeks ago, she is a lot more sensitive to odors. So, she will have to use this mask while out shopping, and that is okay. In fact, we are grateful to have a mask like this. The last big attack happened 4 weeks ago. I had to give her benadryl, ranitidine, use her epi-pen and call 911. It was very serious. For my wife, this mask can be truly a life saving and life changing device. Obviously I can't say enough positive things about this mask. I should mention is that these masks will last 6 to 12 months depending on the type of exposure. They can easily be hand washed with dish soap and water. In my wife's case this mask will last for a year. Oh yeah, for a mask, they look good too. She is coordinating her masks with her scrubs. So, that's it. We are VERY happy with our Vogmask!

I'll not get in a commercial airliner again without it. I'm so literally sick and tired of people dragging their ill children to parties and then my being ill for 6 weeks. Or, going to a store and having anyone (adults as well as kids) looking like they are at death's door, but don't have the manners to at least use a handkerchief to cover their cough or sneeze which then travels 20+ feet around the room. Or, omg, they cough into their hand and then touch things that others will touch. YUK.Vogmask is great for anyone whose immune system is compromised, or for those who simply want to cut down on allergens in the air. They are beautifully made and the colors are nice, although not as vibrant as in the photos, so something you think might be too wild, might actually be just perfect. I thought medium would fit, but went with the large, which fits perfectly. I'd not be too wedded to the 'weight' way of sizing... your skull size may not follow your weight in a linear fashion. The materials used are so comfortable that I forget I have it on.If my situation were dire, I'd get a bunch of these, but for my purposes, one or two will be all I need for home and travel.

It’s comfortable, fits nicely and well, actually easier to breathe in than surgical masks, air truly comes out and not in as it’s supposed to, good material. However, I’m Canadian and so the costs are very expensive. Otherwise the value and the money are good. Also, it’s too bad the valves can’t be changed and that the mask eventually expires but I guess this is because again, it’s very expensive for me. I would recommend it though and I would buy them again. I have not tried to clean it but heard gentle soap and warm water is recommended.

Got this mask for a Cancer Patient and she loved it. After doing a lot of research this meet all the medical standards protecting my loved one with a weak immune system not get sick that could be deadly. Its a lot more stylish than the surgical mask making it less of an issue to use. Its comfortable to use since made up of cloth, even in the heat it does not get very hot, and the single exhalation valve was sufficient for moisture control. I would highly recommend this mask for anyone with compromised immune system or respiratory condition. Would also be a great gift idea for Cancer Patient...they would love you for ever!

This is the best mask I've ever used. I have MCAD, and often need to protect myself from allergens, scents, and sometimes germs. These cloth masks are far more comfortable than others I've tried, AND more effective: they filter out 99% of airborne particles (ones from the hardware store filter out 95%). The exhale valve keeps it from smelling or feeling stuffy, and allows me to speak easily without sounding muffled. I also like that I don't look like a construction worker or a hospital patient. DO trust and follow their directions for sizing! I have a small face, but did still end up needing a large so that it didn't tug on my ears.

I used it on a recent round-trip flight, and got lots of stares, because of the whole "Luke, I am your father" effect. It worked really well and I was able to avoid getting sick (I have extremely low IgG3 & IgG4 and am on an injectable immunosuppressant besides). However, the smell is overwhelming fresh out of the package. I'm taking another wearer's advice and soaking it in a mixture of water and baking soda to neutralize it.

First, this is a very nice quality mask and it’s soft and I suspect it will work beautifully for my long flights to keep the germs and seriously dehydrating cold air out of my sinuses. However I followed the sizing to a “T” and it’s much too big for my face. I am a 42 yr old female and it barely makes contact bc it’s too big. I’ll have to order a smaller one when I return to the US, so I’m hopeful It will get me to and from without my catching a cold.

I bought these Chakra Vogmasks for my family at $51 Singapore dollars each. The expiry date is September 2022. Tests online have shown that a Vogmask is 89% effective versus a surgical mask which is only 50% effective. I ask hesitant to buy any others online unless they are sold at NOON exorbitant process and that there is proof that they are genuine.

It is attractive, and hopefully effective as well since I live in one of the most polluted cities in the world. The ear pieces were too large so the mask was loose on my face. A complete seal is needed for protection. One cannot expect a facemask to fit every person perfectly. I simply stitched by hand the earpieces in more tightly and it seems to have a decent seal now.

Runs small, doesn't expire very well.
