Great food grade buckets!
I bought this set of 3.5 gallon food grade buckets to replace the 5 gallon ones I was using for my gravity water filter that were much too big to sit on my counter with 2 stacked. These 3.5 gallon ones work great while still allowing me to use the 10" candle filters, plus they have the added bonus of not having writing on them. I will definitely be ordering more of these from you in the future for dry food storage.

Best 5 Gallon Bucket $20 can buy. Worth the extra $.
Great product, truly the best 5 gallon bucket I've ever owned. It's quite expensive but it's very true... you get what you pay for and this is no exception. I bought a 5 gallon bucket from my local Lowes hardware store for around $8 including the lid and you can totally tell the difference. The cheaper one has a noticeably thinner plastic for the bucket and lid. The better one from living whole foods is truly the thickest your going to get, it feels very solid and works great. There is also a better handle on it than the cheaper Lowes one. The lid though is where you get a big difference this lid is very solid and great for anything from storing paint to keeping food fresh. I've used mine for all sorts of things and it's been full to the top with liquid and never bends, not even a little so it's just better in every way. You'll just be paying about double for about double the quality. It's worth it if your using it for anything you care about not ruining. Last and deffenatly not least, I'm positive this bucket will last you at least 3 times longer then a cheaper version, you'll be saving money in the long run for sure. This bucket will last you a life time if your not extremely destructive with it.... even then it might hold up to quite the beating.

Wouldn't brine without a bucket again.
I used this to brine our Thanksgiving turkey, which was about 16 pounds. It fit with a little room to spare around the turkey and plenty up to the top of the bucket. However, I'm not sure a 25+ pound turkey will fit. Put the turkey in first then add the brine to ensure it won't over flow. It's tall. I had to remove the middle shelf of my fridge for it to fit. Also, with all of the brine in the bucket it's quite heavy to transfer to the fridge. It doesn't fit in my dish washer since I can't remove the top rack so this is hand wash only for me. After 2 days of brining, it still retains the fragrance of the spices after multiple washings and soakings. Easily fixed by using a liner in the bucket.Overall this made the brining process much easier.

The lid will NOT close
2 stars because they seem solidly constructed. Otherwise ... Instructions to open lid (which probably won't work either) but no instructions to close the lids. On the floor, I used a large rubber mallet with forceful blows around the edge, but it will NOT close. I would hate to imagine trying to re-open one of these. Terrible!

Versatile Food Grade Bucket
I purchased this for to place all items that require sanitizing. In the future and and if I decide to start making large batches of wine or hard apple cider, I will use it for mixing and transferring the liquids. Since I make 1 gallon batches, I am placing my carboy inside the bucket without the lid on. If anything should happen, the mess is contained inside the bucket. To get the lid on I used a rubber mallet but I found it almost impossible to take off. Someone wrote you can get these same buckets free at Dunkin Donuts. I went to two of them and they would not give them away.

Great for the small batch home-brewer!
Perfect for the small batch home-brewers. Usually you can only find 1 gallon or 6 gallon pails that are food-safe and come with a sturdy lid. Some head-space is alright in the primary is good because the yeast will use the oxygen and replace it with CO2 anyways. But when your using a 6 gallon bucket for 1 -2 gallons of beer, it gets a bit questionable. The seller of this product is extremely responsive, and even left me a personal not on the package. I will definitely recommend this product.

Misleading product description
Product label is misleading. If you click on about/ product details/ description...it reads as follows an I quote "Set of 3 - 3.5 Gallons in Volume - Food Grade HDPE Plastic - BPA Free". I assumed I would be getting three 3.5 gallon buckets. Instead, I got one 5 gallon bucket. I attempted to contact Amazon about this and all I got was the run around, asking me to take it up with the seller. Just be aware of what it is exactly you will be getting for 20 bucks.

A nice company
Great looking and appears to be exactly what I expected. Haven't put contents in it. I was also very impressed. The seller wrote a nice little note on the outside of the box. That makes it feel so much more personal and that they take the customer seriously in giving great service. Thank you, I like that little extra thank you from seller.
