While this was his dream come true, it is not actually the best idea for him. At least since it is difficult to back up with the trailer on, which he insists at all times. The tractor, unlike many other RC toys I bought him recently, does not go too fast. This is a plus, especially with the trailer. It is very simple to operate and does not have too many extra features. Simple forward and backward, then left and right. The middle buttons are to turn lights on and off and a demo of the tractor's abilities by itself.Backing up this tractor is so similar to real life and is a skill many people cannot do well. The good thing, i guess, is that the trailer just jackknifes and keeps sliding back the way it's being pushed with no damage to it.The entire unit is plastic, but the tractor has a heavy feel to it which makes it feel like a good item. I worry about the trailer farm implement because it doesn't feel like it is going to survive a child walking or falling on it which is sure to happen at some point. The charging of the tractor is a little odd as you remove the battery from the compartment and hook it up directly to the USB cable supplied. Your kids aren't going to be able to do this easily but it's better than buying batteries every time. You do need 2 AAA batteries for the remote, but I suspect they will last quite a while.Overall, a big winner for a little boy and it was a unique RC toy that is much different than any other he has.

Our grandchildren have a lot of fun with this remote control tractor set. (ages 4-7) It's not often you find an RC item that pulls something. We farm out here, with the red tractors ;), so this is right up our alley. Easy to set up, holds a good charge and seems well made. The remote is perfect for their little hands and easy for the littlest to use. would make an awesome gift.

I gave this toy to my 5 year old nephew that loves tractors and construction equipment. So far he really likes it but is taking some time to learn how to drive it very well. Great introduction toy to RC controlled devices as well as it is pretty low speed and easy to control.

Perfect first remote control anything for younger kids.. Only took a few minutes for them to figure out how to use it.It's pretty decently made and good value for the money

Our toddler loves this little RC tractor, especially because it has tow-behind wheel rakes that are actually functional. The little wheels under the rakes spin them as the tractor drives along.The controls were easy enough for our 4-year-old to quickly figure out. It drives forward easily, but because of the trailer it does tend to get stuck when backing up and turning. It's good practice for the real thing when they get older.The battery lasts longer than most toddler's attention span before needing to be recharged. It recharges with a simple USB cable that can be plugged into any 5V charger.My only complaint is that I wish it came with 2 batteries so that one could be charging while the other one is being used, however this has not been much of an issue.
