I mostly stick to collecting only the mainline Classified figures but this is one of the few exceptions I had to make for the head of Cobra. It's retro cardback package arrived in great condition, I almost felt bad when opening it but perfect for a wall display for inbox collectors. The retro version is very similar to the mickey mouse variant that was a Haslab Hiss exclusive, they just changed the figure to match the Sunbow cartoon look including the correct Cobra insignia and chrome vac-metal helmet with white stripe on top. There's the backpack and laser gun. A Cobra symbol stand which makes displaying him easy. Same alternate hand accessories: two fists, left pointer hand and right grabbing hand so you can make him reenact his famous scenes from the 80s cartoon. Articulation is very smooth and standard with other Classified figs. Only nitpick is the knife sheath on his right leg falls too easily when moving him. Some wished he also came with a hooded head accessory but I don't mind as I always preferred the battle helmet more. This is a great improvement compared to the Classified Cobra Commander figure based on his Operation Blackout game. Good quality packaging, great looking figure and nice attention to details. Worth the purchase!

For fans of the G.I. Joe Classified and Retro series this is a Cobra Commander that arrives largely as he would have in 1983 and arguably, should have. Fits in with most other figures of the GI Joe line released to date without being excessively ornate and enough accessories to satisfy people at the price point: Different hand poses, a gun and backpack, a stand. Could have thrown in more, but the original didn't come with anything except a gun and a really terrible version of the helmet. This version's biggest selling point is a reflective mask that's not going to rub off under your greasy fingerprints but I haven't dared to see if it's scratch resistant. The white stripe alignment on his helmet is off on most people's and mine as well, so if you're OCD that's going to bug you. But mostly easily fixed among collectors with a steady hand and some miniatures paint of their choice. Cheaper than most other versions of him out there right now, so if you really need the look and want one for your original 1983/1984 set you've been building, you can't go wrong with him, overall, all other considerations factored in

This is what Hasbro should have been doing with the Classified line from the start. Classic design on a modern figure. Looks like he stepped right out of my imagination.
