Poor adhesive and product

The media could not be loaded. i like the fitment and ease of use… i have doubts that the adhesive backing will stay especially on the corners. I had to super glue the corners to keep it from coming off. Overall a very nice product. Installed on. 76 Lancia Scorpion.

I can't confidently rate it right now, but I think this will not be long-lasting. When I peeled the backing off, the transparent sticky tape that causes this to stick started coming off as well. I had to cut that part of the whole strip off and start again. It seems the rubber itself doesn't have any sort of adhesive on it other than some sort of thin clear tape-like substance between the rubber and the removable backing. Sort of like one of those really thin bandages for your skin. And despite what their diagram shows, I was only able to use this 19mm (0.75") strip along the top of my windshield and rear window. The side channels running along the roof of my car are too wide for this. It won't fit in the channel itself, as this strip is too wide, but it's too narrow to bridge both sides.

This lasted about a month and a half than it flew off on the highway and left the tape behind. Also the adhesive doesn’t stick to the glass well.

This is to be used for a micro camper build I’m working on. I have a piano hinge that has a gap between it and the aluminum side. This strip fits it perfectly and will keep the rain from coming behind the hinge.The rubber seems to be the durable type like you’d find on exterior car trim. The adhesive strip does concern me some. I tested it on a metal strip and I’m not sure how well it will hold to my project. If it does not hold there is plenty in the package to replace it and then I will use a contact cement like Weldwood to keep it in place. This adhesive concern is what led to the three stars otherwise it’s at least a four star product.

Total junk. It does not stick to the windshield. Save your money.

This weather strip has a 4mm deep hard plastic piece down the center to hold it in place. So make sure your gap is deep enough for it to slot into. The secret seems to be to clean the area really well and the adhesive will last a long time. We had a water leak in our old Chevy and this seems to have fixed the problem.

Returned….item did not adhere to the surface. Adhesive not sticking and we cleaned the surfaces really good with alcohol.
