Best in this price Bracket
Very pleased with this safe.Had a good shop around as you do, and soon realised that having a battery operated digital code to lock and unlock the safe is just a pointless gimmick. Go with Key only.I bought this model as it has a nice big key to operate, a thicker steel case than most other safes in this price bracket , a good size inside and a door that is recessed so it cant be forced open.it looks good too.Just one thing, the two securing bolts that come with the safe are crap, both mine snapped near the final turns, use your own.

Good product, good company to deal with, personal service
I chose this safe for my mother to contain her spare cash and jewellery as one of her carers was stealing from her. The first safe arrived very quickly - but the key did not fit ! I rang Sentry safe who were very apologetic and arranged for a new safe to arrive the next day - and for the courier to collect the old one, which happened. I prefered a key safe to a digital one to avoid messing about with batteries. Very sturdy safe with excellent key mechanism, good company to deal with - highly recommended.

Sentry X031 Security Safe
This is a good sized safe for keeping valuables, money, passports etc in.It is sturdy and not that heavy bearing in mind it is of steel construction. The two bit locking bolt mechanism on the door is easy to operate and I feel happier with just a key system rather than a battery operated digital system. (Two keys are provided with the safe)Fixing to the wall is very easy, and took no time at all. The fixing bolts and rawl plugs come as part of the package.I personally would have preferred more fixing points than the two pre-drilled for securing to either a wall or floor, but that said when secured to the wall it is held firmly.Overall a good quality safe which is very simple to install, easy to operate and does what a safe is supposed to do.

Good Buy
I bought this safe to replace a defunct battery driven push button job. This is a straightfoward key operated safe, no password to remember. I found this to be an excellent product that functions very well......not a lot to go wrong realy. Ideal for securely storing small documents, passports etc and valuables.

A Metal Box
I bought this for keeping passports, Swiss and offshore bank account details secure etc.etc. It certainly does the job. It is well made locks securely and can be fastened to an immobile object, in my case a brick wall. But seriously, I would recommend this without any doubts or reservations, for keeping general home documents safe (not meant as a pun).Buy it with confidence..

Great little safe
Good build quality. Unable to use the two securing bolts as they are about 3 inches long! The keys for the safe are not too large or heavy and fit fine on my key ring along with house and car keys.

Such a good safe i couldnt open it!
Looking for a small home safe, plumped for this one, slightly more expensive than others, but seemed to have most positive reviews. Item arrived promptly by UPS although wasn't delivered very well, and item was not shipped with outer packaging, so anybody could see what I was getting. The safe itself is fairly sturdy, with a black japanned finish (mine had a chip in one corner, but I wasn't fussed about that), and using a vernier, I measured the door as being 3mm thick, and the walls 1.6mm thick, so not quite as thick as advertised. However my main issue was that I couldn't open the safe at first! The first thing I noticed was that the keyhole in the front plastic insert fascia did not align with the keyhole in the lock, meaning the key went in at a slight angle and did not insert fully, in the end; I had to exert quite a bit of pressure to straighten it and this managed to force the key home fully and I could open the door. I was able to remove the fascia from unscrewing it from inside the door and using a Dremel, opened up the hole in the fascia meaning now the key aligns better once inserted and unlocks ok. But a poor design and the plastic insert is a bit naff; could easily be forced off exposing more of the lock to a would be thief. The bolts supplied for anchoring the safe are little more than heavy duty woodscrews, so for bolting through something, you would need a trip to your local DIY shop for some better and more suitable fixings. Note the safe has holes in the rear and base for anchoring. The aperture of the safe is 226mm x 112mm. Supplied with two keys. Overall, not a bad product, let down by some design issues, and probably a touch overpriced. But it will do the job for me.
