It’s hard to remove the red strip to expose the layer of glue beneath
I’m using the magnets to keep my kitchen cabinets closed. I avoided using screws for now but it’s nice to have them if the glue fails. I place a red strip on the non-magnetic side of the metal strip containing the magnet. I remove the front of the strip exposing a layer of glue. I stick this strip inside the door on the stationary part of the cabinet. I put it about 4 inches from the bottom but I don’t think it matters. I place another red strip on the non-magnetic metal strip and place it on the magnetic metal strip where it will stick by magnetic force. I the peel away the red strip revealing the glue covered surface. Finally I close the cabinet door and press it firmly. I leave it for 5 minutes or so to let the glue set. Then I open the cabinet door hoping that the second metal strip now is sticking to the back of the door. So far it’s worked on three doors. Nice to see them firmly shut for once.

Super strong, extra thin magnets. Just what I needed.
I bought this house almost 2 years ago and have been bothered by 1 kitchen cabinet that wouldn]t stay closed. I don't know why I never thought of magnets, but I guess my experience was that they were too thick or too weak. I saw these, ordered them, and they arrived in 2 days. I couldn't wait to try them. As most people have said, getting the red tape off the adhesive strip is challenging. My X-Acto knife helped to pry a corner up, and that worked fine. I put the 2 magnets together, opened the door, stuck them onto the door then pressed it closed and held it for a few seconds. Then I left it for a couple of hours. PERFECT! The magnets may be a bit too strong!! I don't have handles on my cabinet doors. It makes me so happy to see that door closed for the first time in 19 months. If the adhesive doesn't hold, I will use screws, but based on many reviews, I will get better screws. Now, I am trying to figure out where I can use these elsewhere in my house.

Red Adhesive Tape is Too Difficult to Use, Screws work great
Wasted a lot of time trying to remove the red backing from the adhesive tape, never did figure it out. Drilled too big a hole for the screws the first time, they are very small. But once I figured out that I should ignore the adhesive tape and go with the screws, the magnets worked great. Very nice solution for my wood drawer problem.

I wish I found these a long time ago!!
I had not idea how to find a new door closure for my antique wicker armoir. It had finally snapped off from old age, and the door kept swinging open. I kept looking for a solution for the delicate door that needed holding power, and these little gems did the trick!! I used the adhesive strip to hold them in place as I put the little screws that were supplied in the sunken spot. The price for all of these little bags of 2 plates, adhesive strips and 4 screws blew my mind. I decided to use them on my file cabinet that never seemed to shut securely, and it worked like a charm. Just these two items made it well worth the fair cost, I'll definitely share with family and friends if they need them. Highly recommended.

worked very well
I wish it came with adhesive. I had to use the enclosed small screws, which was not very convenient.
