Soothing and well-fitting, flexible brace for when stiffness occurs in thumbs and lower hands
This soft, quality brace has just the right amount of pressure to soothe and relieve the pain caused by joint pain in my thumbs. I love that it's washable and thin, which provides flexibility. I forgot that I had it on, but it truly helped with the pain.

For arthritis, or post rigid brace use.
As others have stated this support feels as though it only offers the support of a latex type glove- however it does provide support. My injury was a sprain/tendon issue, and this brace was used after weeks of treatment with a rigid brace. It is a good transition from rigid bracing to no bracing. I found that the minimal support was useful, especially after therapy, to provide a bit of support, while allowing for near complete range of motion. It is very comfortable, and I forget I’m even wearing it. For added support (since these come as a Left and Right pair, if you turn one brace inside out both can be worn on the same hand- doubled up. Doubled may be too tight for some, and may not be recommended by the mfg. but it helps when you may need a bit more support due to activities.). This isn’t for an acute or moderate to severe injury, but would be better advertised as an arthritis type aid - it keeps the thumb warm, and slightly supported. It washes easily and drys quickly. I’ve used this product -daily - for 4 weeks and it’s held up well. I was able to type, write, etc. without issue.

Light, non-invasive support
If you have pain issues with your thumbs, but have to use your hands all day (typing, etc), these are very helpful. They help alleviate some of the pressure and help support them at the wrist joint. They don't offer any protection against knocks or bumps, but they do help offer light relief.

not helpful at all
bought size recommended. could no get hand through opening. so tight was it, I doubt if large would have fit either. wasted money. I don't see how the extremely light material could have done its job. Blurb said to use with other implements, superfluous to me. Why have to use two items

A little flimsy
So far, this is the best compression sleeve I've found for the thumb. It isn't perfect, but it does help relieve some of the pain. It could still stand some redesign to fit better. I ordered small and it is still a little looser than I'd like. It is easy to put on and doesn't shift, so stays where it belongs. I do wish it didn't have 'Velpeau' boldly printed on it. Without that printed right on the thumb portion, it would blend in a bit better and not be so obvious that I'm wearing a thumb support.

So far, so good
So far this product is amazing. I was looking for something to cover only my thumb and not my whole hand. I have osteoarthritis in my right thumb. The upper part of my thumb pops and is painful when bending it and straightening it out. This product has helped tremendously. Very comfortable to wear.

Stretches over time
This product has stretched out over time. I never felt that it was sturdy enough to wear without another race over it. I had hoped that possibly it would give me some compression that I wasn’t getting for the other place but I don’t think it ever did. It’s not very bulky, it is incredibly thin which is why I think it has stretched overtime. I do not feel that it ever supplied much support and therefore was not good at relieving my pain. It does fit well and near to the skin but I really don’t feel that it was good for compression.
