I awoke one morning to discover a bag of birdseed I'd carelessly left out had been spilled, and the dog had tracked it all over. Nightmare! There were hundreds of seeds, not just sunflower, but tiny millet seeds embedded in the carpet. Was able to scoop up a lot, but no way could I get all of it without help. I pondered just using the vacuum, but would that many seeds ruin my $400 vac? I ordered this broom based on so many positive reviews and thankfully it arrived fast. Even better, it was just the right tool for grabbing up most of the millet and dog hair from the carpet. Then I went over it with the vac and removed the little ones the broom didn't get. My carpet is short pile. I Don't think it would've worked so well on shag.

I love this broom! The dust pan has the step on feature to hold it in place so you don't have to stay bent over while you sweep up. Ocedar brooms are definitely durable and last a long time. It makes cleaning easy. I use it to get the dust on the ceiling above the ceiling fan as well. The pet broom does a great job grabbing that dog hair from those hard to reach places as well!

Broom works great. In fact, it sweeps just like a broom.The hair release tines on the dust pan are ok and work but you have to be careful or dirt in the bristles fling when springing back after drawing them through.The pan does not clip to the handle like my old one and the concept of stepping on the handle to hold the pan is well and good but in use, not so much.

This is probably the best broom and dustpan I have ever owned! The dust pan alone is worth purchasing this. It doesn't leave anything behind and you don't have to bend over and hold it with your hand. With the way the dustpan is designed you just use your foot. The bristles on the Broom are soft but well made to get everything you are sweeping. I highly recommend this!

Great broom and a big improvement over the old broom I was using. (I'll keep the old one for sweeping the garage.) The new one sweeps very easily and gets everything. It's a little wider so it does a faster job. The dustpan works great too, even when held down by your foot. Assembly was very simple, just screw the handle together and into the broom head. Highly recommend. Also made in the USA.I had to order it twice. The first one arrived with no handle in the box, but I returned it and ordered another, which was complete. Amazon's error.

I have 3 dogs and a cat and they all shed. This broom is great for quick cleanups, especially since the fur does not stick to the bristles!

I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship of this boom/dustpan. My personal use is for cleaning a school bus. Thus the shorter handle is perfect for getting under the seats. I suspect dwarves and hobbits will also appreciate the shorter handle.
