Amazing value laptop bag, really good quality, smart and robust
Bought this bag as a replacement for a Targus that had lasted very well over nearly four years of daily use before the Targus main zip track broke. It's the first Amazon Basics product I have tried, bought on Amazon Prime Day at half price, but even at full price is an absolute bargainI bought the 15.6in bag hoping it was big enough as my old one was 17in, but it is a perfect fit for a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop, which measures 16in corner-to-corner, and the laptop fits comfortably without sliding around. The bag seems very well made, I have used it for work for a few months now and it still looks like new:> zips seem strong> front pocket zip corners are reinforced with orange stitching, that presumably strengthens this but also looks nice and contrasts with the black fabric elsewhere> the lining throughout is a sort of mid-grey ripstop nylon, which is a bit scratchy but looks strong and durable.> the main pocket is roomy but the other two are also big enough for cables (full size charging block), mice etc.. having had many bags over time, weak areas always seem to be zips and handles rather than the bag itself: the Amazon Basics bag has strong looking zips (too early to assess real durability of course) and the handles, whilst simple in design (fabric rolled over a reinforcing piece) look well-made.To be honest, at the price it's a steal and you can't really go wrong: I also bought an Italian leather laptop bag from an online auction but actually prefer and use the Amazon bag as it's so functional.Highly recommended to all lovers of quality bargains !

Decent, lightweight laptop case with adequate storage pockets
I bought this to carry my work laptop and associated leads and equipment. After having been disappointed with the quality of another bag I purchased from Amazon earlier in the year, I took a punt on this one from the Amazon Basics range and I have to say I am really pleased. The bag itself has three main zip pockets; the main one for the computer itself, a smaller one that is large enough to comfortably hold wires and charging cables, and a smaller third one for miscallaneous items. I use the latter section for paper, pens and such. The bag is quite suprisingly lightweight and feels like it's made of decent quality material. It's nothing expensive but at the same time it doesn't feel really cheap and tacky like some of the rip-off products available from counterfeit Chinese sellers.I am writing this review having used this bag for work everyday since I purchased it nearly a year ago and I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I would recommend this for anybody in need of a laptop case.

Fits the MacBook Pro 13 late 2016 snugly
I was really struggling to find a proper traditional laptop bag with shoulder strap and hard wearing nylon covering sized appropriately for my new Apple MacBook Pro 13 (late 2016). Everything on Amazon and indeed elsewhere seemed to be at best just a sleeve with a handle and not the kind of tough, rainproof laptop bag suitable for overhead compartments in occasional transatlantic flights I was looking for.I then found this 11.6 sized AmazonBasics bag, and though it was just too small for the new MacBook Pro 13 according to its description, given the low price I decided to risk it. As you'll see in the pictures, the MacBook fits snugly in the bag which is very appropriately sized for the new MacBook. The snugness of fit means just a little stretching to close the zipper, not so much it's hard to close, but not so little the MacBook slides around inside the bag. In terms of securely fitting the MacBook like a glove, I'd say this bag is a definite green tick. It is also the durable traditional laptop bag nylon exterior I wanted, and has reasonable foam padding on all sides bar the top where the zipper is. The bag is small, lightweight, very portable and far better than a sleeve or a sleeve with handles for transporting your MacBook around. There are some downsides however. Firstly I do worry about the zipper scratching the corners of the MacBook over time. The zipper teeth directly abut the MacBook, and though they are plastic the MacBook's space grey colouring might get scratched if you're walking to work every day with this bag slung around you for example.Secondly, this is a cheaply made bag, and more cheaply than I'd prefer given the two and something grand I spent on the MacBook. It feels like a upmarket freebie given away at a conference with its all plastic strap hooks and thin edge padding (side padding is much thicker, but it's the edge padding which is much more important) and most especially the crinkly plastic used to make the internal pockets which feels very cheap. Now, the MacBook is much lighter than most laptops so I think in practice the all plastic hooks and thin edge padding won't be a problem with a bit of care, though I wouldn't want to drop this bag from a height. The crinkly internal plastic feels extremely cheap, but it is waterproof and so I'd expect this bag to do well under rain.Ultimately I'd have given this bag a rave review if it was under £20, had much thicker side padding, metal hooks for the strap, used less cheap material for the internal pockets and it had a bit of material to tuck the MacBook under to stop it pressing directly against the zip. For the three or four times annually I need to leave the house with my laptop on an extended trip, this bag hits the sweet spot of price for the times I'll use it. If you're a road warrior or you take your MacBook with you on public transport daily, I'd say you're better off spending (much) more on a decent bag fitting for such an expensive laptop with such excellent used sale residuals if in good condition.
