Whitetail Institute FUSION Deer Food Plot Seed for Spring or Fall Planting, Blend of Clover and Chicory for Maximum Deer Attraction, Heat, Cold and Drought Tolerant

First time buying the product. It does work as advertised, it grows extremely rapidly. The way I used it was not the standard big acre area or hunting patch. I was using it as a secondary lawn replacement in areas where I'm having problems growing grass. The images I uploaded shows growth within three weeks a little bit slower because it hasn't been raining lately and it's on the side of the house which doesn't get a lot of sun. This surprised me because I have not been able to grow standard grass in there. I bought this because I'm familiar with Clover but not so much with chicory but based off the reviews and images online it seems to be low growing substitute. I'm just happy to have something growing in there even the bare spots are starting to fill in slowly but I took a further away shot so that you could see how it's spreading and growing really good. The up close shot I uploaded has always been a little bit slightly muddy, the drainage there is iffy, it can dry out but it takes longer than standard sunlit areas however it grew in there, filled in the spot and pretty much has improved the soil location and area with better drainage and no longer muddy. I'll update the review in another two or three weeks to show growth.

I have been using a different product the last few years and decided to try and save a little money and use this based on the reviews. It did not grow for me and will go back to other product which worked great.

I have property that was timbered 10 years ago and allowed to grow into scrub brush until June of this summer when I had a forestry mulcher come in to mulch all the scrub. The ground had never been planted and it decently good soil but a lot of rocks in it as well. I scratched through it lightly with a tiller but not deep at all. Scattered the seed and it grew wonderfully. I think my deer will be happy with the results.

Heard great things about this product and now witnessed myself first hand. Follow the recommendations on the bag for prepping the ground and you’ll have a food plot with growth starting in 7-10-days. Very robust product as I’ve seen these plants in drought environment and underwater - still growing strong!!! Did I mention the number of deer in the food plot at any given time?!?! WOW!!!

My favorite food plot product. I've planted plots for over 20 years and the clover/chicory mixture is perfect. I would recommend getting a lab soil test (Amazon sells these) to get the exact fertilizer recommendations and any lime that might be needed if your soil pH is low. This is a critical step. I planted this for the first time last spring and it was my most productive plot last fall and it's still growing strong. Deer are in it every day. This bag is for a new plot that I have had in wheat for the past few years. If you follow the planting directions it will surprise you how well it produces not only forage growth but more deer.

I only give it four stars because it hasn't come up to the fullest yet to really give a full assessment of the product. However it is coming up well and the deer are using it. I have a feeling my review will change to five stars once it is fully grown. Like all the other Whitetail institute products I have always had great crops with them. Very reputable company and products.
