Stanbroil 1/2" OD x 3/8" ID 18" Non-Whistle Flexible Flex Gas Line with Brass Ends for NG or LP Fire Pit and Fireplace

We had bought a very expensive gas fireplace log set; the flexible gas line that came with the set was only about 13 inches long, which was not long enough for us. So we bought this gas line, hoping it would work on our new log set. It looks exactly like the one that came with the expensive set only it was 18 inches long, which is just what we needed. It looks so similar to the 13 inch line that I suspect it was made in the same factory. Excellent product.

This hose replaced an old 3/8" standard yellow gas hose and perfectly fixed my whistling issue. I increased the hose diameter to this 1/2" size to lower the gas velocity during operation; and the uniquely-ridged hose prevents whistling harmonics during gas flow. Easy fix, even came with yellow thread tape.

After shopping at Home Depot and Ace and being told that I would have to have a gas hose like this custom made, I wondered if I could just order one from Amazon. Success! I ordered an additional hose so I could move my fire pit away from my patio wall. It works great! No "whistling" like the Home Depot employee told me to expect.

Not a cheap piece of junk, but rather, a very good and quality line.
