Best Door Handle Spindle Replacement!
Great product and fast delivery!My back door handle had fallen off. Found that on one half of the door handle spindle that it had snapped off! (see picture, lower half) It was a very poorly designed product. A two-part non-steel item that was bound to fail. I researched and found the exact same 2-part replacement, but decided to pass as it was the same poor design. Then I found this product and it was solid steel for essentially the same price (see picture, upper item). It was 1/2 inch longer, but otherwise perfect. Product came very quickly, I hack-sawed off 1/4 inch off each end, smoothed the ends with my grinder, slipped it in and attached the handles. PERFECT!

PERFECT fix for 1990s Andersen Doors
If your stupid Andersen door handle is broken or wobbly, this is the fix. This and WD40. I’ve had three handles fail on two houses and this is the best repair part. Oil all of the works - top and bottom of the door - not just the handle and lock. Takes two minutes to install.

This is a 5 minute repair. Pull out the old one, slip in a new spindle, tighten the set screws. Awesome.
Wow, this couldn't have been simpler. My wife wanted the back door fixed, so she found the paperwork (from '99), and told me they have these here. I ordered one, and it arrived while I was at work. My wife wanted the back door fixed, but we were about to head out for the evening. Frustrated, and sure I was about to fall into another maintenance quagmire, I removed the handle that had not yet sheered off, pulled out the shard that remained in the door, slipped in the replacement spindle, tightened the set screws on the inner and outer handle, and the door was fixed. The old spindle was a complicated machining wonder, but it was destined for destruction. This new spindle, with a slightly different design, will probably last 20+ years. The door works much better now too.

Should be stock in the factory doors!
My door, after 11 years of continuous use of 30 plus openings every day, finally had the very thin bar inside give out (wear out). This bar should have been in there from the start. It has "0" play and locks the door up quicker.

No more handle falling of door!
Sturdy strong and made me so happy. Door hand screw holds tightly to this spindle. No more handle falling off door! Only issue is its about 1/8 inch to big/long so a little gap in door handle to door. May cut it to fit perfectly but just my own setup. All in all fixed my issue and ended my frustration with my door.
