It is important to start with panels in order.otherwise the design will be of. They are easily trimmed with a sharp craft knife.

Q: Does the color of paint on the wall, behind the decal affect the image?

No. The wallpaper is solid enough that nothing shows behind it for me. That said, in my case, it was not tall enough to cover my entire wall. So, I put a base color at the bottom of my wall to blend in better. I put a darker blue at the bottom.
