Just Like The Original
Now that I've had these for a few days, I can tell you how they work in the REAL world. I picked up a pair to replace the original remotes for my 2000 Grand AM GT. The old ones were faded, cracked & well worn down. Well, it HAS been 13 years since the original ones were brand new!Programming these were a breeze & literally took three minutes from start to finish. I had ran across a website (other than the one that the included flier points you to) not long before I ordered these, so I used those instructions instead. Some vehicles are easier than others to get into programming mode, but that's just the nature of different manufacturers. Different manufacturers, different ways to get into programming mode on your vehicle.Once you have your vehicle in programming mode, it was as simple as holding down the lock & unlock buttons on the key fob at the same time, for about 10 seconds until I heard the "keys-in-the-ignition-with-the-door-open" chime..twice. Let go. Get any other remotes you have that you want to use with your vehicle & repeat the last process. Keep going until you have all key fobs programmed. Pull the key out of the ignition...Done!I can't tell if this remote is more powerful than the original remote, but I can press the lock button in a large parking lot full of other cars & hear my car's horn chirp. I can be around 200 feet away when I press the button. I did, however, have a fairly new battery in the old remote, but it just didn't seem to work as far away as this one did. Anyway what I'm getting to here, is if you can't remember where exactly you parked your vehicle in a crowded parking lot (I live in a large metropolitan with well over a million people, so parking lots are large & crowded) it's an easy way to find your car. Hold your remote high into the air press the lock button & listen from that far away. You have a general idea of where you parked. This will help you zero into where you parked. The shipper sent these in a small yellow bubble mailer USPS First Class from Illinois. It got to eastern Virginia in three days. I was worried I wouldn't receive these, as the person that delivers mail in this area mis-places mail in others mailboxes often, since I live in a large community that has a large box with many pigeon holes for a small block of addresses here. BUT..that's not the shippers issue here, it's MY issue to try to resolve with the Postal service for sloppy delivery & lost mail here. Some other reviews have stated that the buttons are more sensitive than the OEM remotes. I think I have an idea as to why. Over time, electronics tend to wear out when used for years & years & years, especially an electronic that has contact points. Dirt, debris, high humidity & other factors get inbetween the physical buttons outside the remote & the electronic board inside preventing a good contact. Since this unit is brand new, the contact points are clean with a good connection when you press the button. My old remotes were plagued with the "have to press hard several times" to get it to work, so several complete immersions in denatured alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) made that problem go away. It's just a thought, but a good point. But it DID dissolve the white lettering on the buttons though. So it's a trade-off. Either a working remote with no lettering, or a temperamental remote that has the lettering. Hmmm, tough choice, right? But nonetheless, they arrived, they work well & I'm happy with the purchase. Oh, & it's MUCH cheaper to buy this from here instead of going to your local car dealer. If you do buy from there, expect to pay double...AND...they tend to charge you extra for programming on the spot as well. Remember when I said it only took three minutes to program? Is that really worth an extra $20?? Just keep that in mind, but not all dealers can be like that. Your local dealer in your small town may do it for free. Not here in this large city!

Horrible Product. DO NOT BUY!
WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! This remote does not work with a 1997 Oldsmobile 88. I have followed the instructions to the letter. I have put the paper clip in pins 4 and 8, and the car does go into programming mode as indicated by the doors immediately locking and then unlocking when turning the key to the on position. The next step is to press both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for about 15 seconds (I tried up to a minute), and it will sync the remote. IT DID NOT WORK. I went and bought a new battery for the FOB just in case it was dead. That still didn't fix it. The FOBS absolutely do not work. My shipper was Hammers Tactical LLC. Do not buy from them. The listing clearly stated my car was compatible with this FOB but it is not. I'll be expecting a full refund or a FOB that works. I have included some pictures to show that I did indeed have the correct pins shorted.

Works Great!
Have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville I bought as my first car. It did not come with the clicker. The only way I could get my fuel door open was with the manual latch in the trunk because the clicker locks and unlocks the fuel door. I bought this one because it was far cheaper than a "Pontiac Certified" one. My dad programmed it for me in less than 5 minutes. Had it for a few weeks now and works perfectly. Could not be happier. If anything changes, I will update the review. I would totally recommend this to anyone needing a replacement clicker.

Good buy..
Some models are not user programmable, but this one is. I looked up the procedure which requires some electrical skill as you have to short out two specific pins on the OBD (on board diagnostics) connector under the dash (in most cars) and was able to program it for my 98 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. It is getting harder to find accessories for Pontiacs as the company is gone. The price was great and it works like a champ.

Good for 90s cars
This is great for my 96 Oldsmobile. The original was damaged years ago and the dealer said replacements were no longer available. The only thing I wish about it is that it had a longer range

After not even 3 full days since ordering, I have a working keyless entry remote.
Ordered fob Dec 12.Rcvd. fob U.S. Mail Dec 14.After I completed my order, I "emailed" vendor my year/make/model, using Amazon's Contact-the-Vendor capability, [I chose 'Product Customization' option]. The World Wide people [secure] emailed me [via Amazon] the next day with instructions on how to program fob to lock/unlock My car.Instructions were verbose, verbally muddy, but they worked.. without a problem. I Google-Image-searched "OBDII port" to see location of pins (for my application anyway) I needed to jumper. Used a paper clip. Took 4 mins total. So far, I could not be more pleased with both Amazon and the World Wide folks. Plus, the whole bidness of doing this myself, at a reasonable price, makes me feel clever.

Key Fob
My previous and original fob stopped working and so I ordered a new one. It doesn't have the aspects that the newer cars have but it's good enough for me in that it opens my car doors and my trunk and it even has an alarm. If you have an older model car line mine (2000) you'll need a fob like this.

operates but is touchy
Great key fob that works perfect but have noticed the "unlock" button is VERY touchy. My pocket always sets it off as just the slightest touch to the button operates it. You can tell it is a first production reject but I'd rather own this new one vs. A beat up used one.
