It works as a toner
This developer does not have the chemical smell like others I've used.I tried to bleach 1B black hair but I had to do it twice and It was still not light enough. It's good as a toner. I never used volume 20 before so I guess I shouldn't use it to bleach unprocessed hair. I love the consistency of it. It's similar to others I'm use to.

Gentle
I needed a gentle developer to use on my naturally dark, chemically relaxed, fine hair. You aren't supposed to process relaxed hair like mine at all, but I really wanted a skunk stripe. So glad I got this, as there is no damage. It did take extra time and patience, and I did multiple sessions spaced out.It also smells great and not too fumey.
