Yes, you can, but you must use it with some other sound-producing device such as a synthesizer, sampler, etc. that has MIDI In. This is a keyboard controller, not a traditional keyboard, which means it cannot make sounds all on it's own. You will lose a LOT of functionality using it this way, since it was meant to be used in conjunction with a DAW on some sort of computer. This controller has MIDI Out, which means it can control such devices connected using that port. And even then, most of the controls won't work without having it connected to a DAW. Just the keys will work and you will have to control all settings at the device itself, if that's your bag then have fun. Most of the appeal of a DAW + knobs & sliders is setting up intricate MIDI signals to turn the controller into a perfect instrument for your setup.
