Wonderful little contraption. Have been using this on my Dyson since I bought it months and months ago, cannot imagine cleaning without it now. A bit tricky to fit at first and to find that initial position, but when you figure it out - works perfectly.

I was going to leave a negative review and claim that this was not compatible with a V11 and that the lever doesn't stay down, but it was user error. It turns out that you only have to slide it a little onto the trigger grip and it stays in place, not push it down far enough that it reaches the button.Attached correctly, it does exactly what it claims to do and it's a wonder that Dyson didn't include something like this in the design.

This on/off control clamp fits perfectly with the Dyson V15 but unfortunately doesn’t fit my V11, which is disappointing. It comes in a handy little case, which I appreciate, and works well if it fits. However, using the vacuum with the clamp attached feels slightly awkward as it requires adjusting your grip. That said, it’s something you could get used to over time.

After recently buying the v8 advanced Dyson as i hated my current new Dyson after they changed the handle Design, the first thing i noticed was the power button or the lack of it, meaning you had to hold the power button down to operate which i didnt like, so went straight online and found this. No instructions but only took a couple of minutes to work it out. Works great now which a flick of a switch my Dyson now stays on. Good product !!

It does the job as advertised but leaves little room to manually trigger the vacuum, so you may need to consider other alternatives if you got big fingers.

James Dyson why have you not done this already? I have two cordless vacuums, one Shark and one Dyson. The Shark vacuum has a switch which turns the machine on and off - perfect. The Dyson a trigger that has to be constantly depressed for the machine to work. I had purchased a hose for the Dyson as when vacuuming stairs or anything above head height, it was heavy and awkward, so I wanted to be able to put the main unit on the floor and just use the hose with and attachment, like a conventional corded upright. This is just the thing I needed to keep the machine running for this purpose. It is good quality and very well designed.

So pleased to have found this product as I was fed up with my fingers being sore with having to keep the switch pressed down when using my vacuum cleaner.
