Dirt Devil PD11000 Quick Clean Spray Mop with Swipes Microfiber Scrubbing Pad

I'm downgrading my review of this product after the pivot between the vertical handle and the horizontal cleaning pad assembly broke. As I mention below, I'm not a guy who doesn't know his own strength or anything, so the key pressure bearing part of the device ought to be able to take the pressure I put on it cleaning my floor. I ended up drilling through the entire pivot mechanism and threading wire through to hold it in place. It works, but it's disappointing to have to do that or buy a new one.The review below is correct as far as the mop's excellent characteristics. Just beware it might break when it shouldn't.Can't say enough about this. After snapping the handles of three Swiffer wet mops, I am thrilled that the neck of this Dirt Devil is strong enough to take a bit of scrubbing. (I'm not a body builder or super strong guy or anything; the Swiffers just couldn't take any torque.) It sprays strong and wide without a battery, and you can refill the reservoir with anything you want. I use the very cheap Totally Awesome at a 10:1 ratio and it works fine.

PROS:This is so much better then the swiffer wet jet. First, the pad is reusable and you can fill it with your own cleaner. No more buying replacements. I can actually mop and not have to worry about running out of cleaner or pads. The last time I used my swiffer I ran out of liquid half way through cleaning :/ Second, its lighter weight and easier to use. I really like the foam section on the handle. You can hold onto and get some more elbow grease to clean dirty sections of the floor. Third, it sprays way better then the swiffer. It spray wide and with a thin layer of cleaner.CONS(ISH)When I got my first Dirt Devil I had to return it because there were loose pieces in it. However, the return was easy and they sent me out a new one immediately. If you are looking for something for heavy duty cleaning this is not for you. I cleans the floor but will not clean marks on the floor (from shoes, etc).

I have had a few different brands of mops just like this one. This has to be my least favorite one. The handle isn't long enough and you have to bend over the entire time. I'm only 5'4" so that can't be the issue. The part that holds the mop cloth has rubber edges and when you try to go up against a wall it will just bend and not clean the edge or corner. You can not use mop cloths from other brands with this mop they do not hook on the same. They only give you one cloth to mop with. Yes they are washable but my whole downstairs has to be mopped so I like to change the cloths. So it usually takes me three. It already leaks and I've only used it three times. When it breaks, which it will, I will go back to my old brand.

Compared to the Swiffer Wet Jet I love this mop more! The reason I choose this mop was because the pad can be washed instead of having to buy pads that you replace all the time, which can get expensive. I also like that you can put your own floor cleaning mixture into the dispenser. The only thing I didn't really care for is the spray pump, I rather just push a button and let it spray out (like the wet jet) but this one you spray pump. Great mop! If someone is looking for a cheaper alternative to the Wet Jet that works great this is the mop for you!

Works well. But first, (as other reviews have stated) since dirt devil doesn't package mop unit or pad in anything, pad arrives dirty from sitting in warehouse. I like the reduced packaging, but put the pad in something! Also as other reviews showed, sticker was already removed. And again due to no packaging, item does have some scuff marks on it. Finally, the bottle used for cleaner starts leaking immediately when you start pouring your cleaner in it, so it's messy. But it does a good clean up job.Update: after about 3 months of use on tiny bathroom & kitchen floors in condo 1x a week, trigger doesn't work properly. Let's you spray once and doesn't bounce back for more than a minute so you can't respray!

This mop is amazing! It's the perfect height for me (5'4"), however taller people may think it's a tad short. The sprayer on this mop goes very far. I read another comment before I purchased to make sure you angle it downward so it does not go anywhere but the floor, and they were right! The more you angle up when you spray, the farther it goes (I got my lower cabinet doors a couple times!).The scrubby pad is amazing, it certainly does scrub off the harder areas well. When you go to wash the pad, however, it does come zip-tied to the mop itself for shipping purposes. It's very easy to snip them off. I have already washed the pad once, and it kept it's form through the wash and dry cycle and went VERY snugly back onto the mop.Overall, I am so happy I broke down and got this kind of a mop, because my life is 10x easier without that mop and bucket!

Good spray mop at a great price. It works very well and the nice thing is that you can use your own cleaning liquid. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to stretch the cleaning pad around the base. As the pad gets older, it shrinks slightly making it more difficult to fit it on the base. It would be nice if it had a velcro-like texture on the bottom so you could just press the pad onto it. Other than that, this is a very well built spray mop and I am happy with how well it cleans.

I'm still getting used to the mop, but I love how I don't need to spend a fortune on refills for spray and cloths like the Swiffer version. mops very well, I put diluted mr clean into the spray bottle.
