My dog started ripping us his toys recently. Instead of throwing them away, I figured I could salvage them. I used the thread and needle from the 206 piece kit, which has absolutely everything I think I'll ever need for small repairs. Suffice to say, Mr. Raccoon and Mr. Elephant (his stuffed toys) are now on the mend and ready for more playtime.I appreciated the range in color of thread included. I have a goldenrod sweater which I adore but somehow got a hole in it while in the washer or dryer. I was able to match the sweater to a thread color and mend that as well.The kit also has 2 scissors. I used the smaller one to cut the thread while mending the toys and sweater. I used the larger one to cut gift wrapping paper for my Christmas gifts. A versatile kit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the market for something like this.

You get what you pay for. It's cheap, and it shows in the QA / quality control. If you are someone who is patient and are willing to spend some time after you get this, to save a few dollars, this is totally worth it. If you actually need this for a specific purpose and aren't patient, you'd probably would get mad. So not really recommended for beginners or the uninitiated. Out of 41 XL Threads, I had to find the thread for 6 of them: Black, Safety Orange, Red, Burgendy, Silver, and Light Blue. Regardless, it didn't take 30 minutes like one person said took them, it took me 4 minutes, but that's because I rubbed and fiddled with it. I was okay with breaking a thread If by accident. However, I didn't know how to open that Needle Wheel of 30 Assorted Needles, it only has a circle and can be rotated. I found out after watching a youtube video "How to use a Dritz Needle Compact", essentially, you rotate that front circle and two arrows to the chamber you want and like a mechanical pencil, you get the stuff from the side opening one needle at a time. The 12 self threading needles are easy to get out though, but it's in a re-closable cardboard envelope. Then there are 10 small thin needles in a re-closable tube, the best imho.

This is not for a seamstress or anything, but for someone who occasionally needs to patch up something or put a button back on, this is perfect. Enough stuff, but not too big you cannot store or take with you. College kids, for example, would benefit from having this in their dorms. Guys like me who rarely sew anything, can sew on a button or fix the dogs toy or something. Or if the car seat rips. That kind of thing. Nice assortment of items.

I bought this as a birthday present for my wife and she loved it - she said it has everything she was looking for in a sewing kit in a beautiful case that is the perfect size for her needs.It was also delivered on time as promised - I ordered it kind of late, hoping it would get here by her birthday, and it actually got here one day early.She’s happy and that makes me happy 😊

I got this as a gift for my young granddaughter. She wants to learn to sew. This kit is reasonably priced and I was pleasantly pleased with the amount of supplies there is. The zippered case is nice to keep things in one place or traveling when she wants to visit her other Grandmother. Delivery was quick also.

Love this sewing kit. It has everything it it other than the sewing machine itself. Bought it to be able to hand sew so laundry bags that were damaged but the gentleman didn’t want to give up the ghost on. Needless to say it worked wonderfully and his bags are like new.It comes with plenty of thread in different colors so you will have what you need to sew things back together with. Sewed up the butt of my fave gray sweat pants and the thread matched it wonderfully.Highly recommend this product, seeing as it has quality material and is full of everything you need for making small repairs to clothing, and other items. Plus the needles can actually be seen to be threaded by me.
