I wanted something with which I could travel, as my daughter and her friends are into cosplay, and it's quite a pain to have to lug a large sewing kit to conventions. I saw this kit, and it seemed ideal! It had a little of everything.When I received the kit, my daughter promptly swiped it from me. It's well-thought out. The scissors are pretty good for a kit of this price, and it comes with a smaller set of scissors, too. Needles, a seam ripper, and a needle threader round out the one side.The other side has a variety of colors of thread, pins, buttons, safety pins, a pincushion, a measuring tape, and even one of those white crayon-thingies that more clever sewing-ish people than I use (markings for seams and alterations?) to round out the other side.This will be perfect for our travels, as it has something for almost every contingency. It's lightweight, convenient, and the cover seems like it will hold up pretty well. The value for money is really good. I've seen kits for more that were way less useful. I'll probably get one of my own, too, so I don't have to swipe this back from my daughter. It's also a good gift, so, come Christmas, I'll be looking at getting more of them.

As a bachelor, my sewing needs are limited to basic repairs every once in a while. This kit is perfect for that level of use. There are similar looking kits on Amazon for a few dollars less, but this one comes with a lot more accessories and a better designed case with zippered pockets for small items instead of just elastic straps. A generous amount of thread is included in mostly usable colors (I don't need pink). Altogether, it's a great value considering everything that you get. The tape measure alone would cost a couple of dollars in the store if purchased separately, not to mention two pairs of scissors compared to one in other kits.Overall, I'm very happy with it so far.

This sewing kit is a major upgrade to the ones I would normally buy and keep in my car or sewing basket and grab when I'm doing a quick hand stitch repair. First off finally a kit with decent scissors I can't tell you how many times I have bought a small kit with scissors that couldn't cut anything let alone a thread there and there are two sizes of scissors to boot one small for thread cutting and one large for fabric cutting and both are great scissors! The bigger ones are not your fiskar quality but will still does the job great and you get the whole kit for the same price as one pair of those!Now let's move on to the needle threader which has always been a big pet peeve of mine, normally you get one of those small thin metal ones with a picture of some Victorian lady's face stamped on the front who probably had way more time to sew and that thing breaks the first time you pull slightly to hard on the thread leaving you frustrated, annoyed and trying fish that little piece of metal wire back through that crimping thing and wondering if what ever you were trying to mend was really even worth all this effort. Well at first glance I thought this was the kind that had the metal wire embedded into the plastic which those ones are my favorite because the wire never falls out....but it's not....however it is still an upgrade to the old metal Victorian lady kind that I have used a hundred times before. All in all it's okay...The seem ripper, measuring tape and thimble are just like any others I have used before but they do their job well...enough said!I also like that it comes with a small tomato pin cushion and nice pins you know what I'm talking about the ones with the pearly multi colored ends that's a nice extra to have in a small kit, it also has a small box of small safety pins but also in that box are some buttons, clasps and sew on button snaps that's more than I normally get in my old sewing kits pretty cool.There is also a round container filled with tons of assorted sizes of hand stitching needles and nine assorted colors of decent thread that is actually worth using, usually I have swapped out the thread in my other small sewing kit and filled it with a swatch of my own white basic thread but with this one I don't have to its actually good thread yay!Last but not least this kit comes with an added white pattern marking pencil I wasn't expecting that so it was a nice bonus...all in all for the price it is a great go to sewing kit!

Adorable sewing kit. So pleased I purchased it. It now lives in a tiny cabin inside a wall mounted ironing board cabinet. It was light weight and flat enough where I added Velcro to the back of the kit and to the wall. Just pull down the ironing board and there it is! So, handy and cute for guests to use when they visit. This is in my opinion, the official "Tiny House sewing kit." I will purchase another one later to add to my Tiny House on wheels. I do wish the sewing eBook was sent as paperback that would have been icing on the cake. I added a metal sewing gauge to the kit and now it's perfect!

After having some time off recovering from a motorcycle accident, I thought it would be a good opportunity to do some handy s***. I remembered I had a few nice shirts I stopped wearing that were missing buttons, and figured I'd AmazonPrime this sewing kit the hell to my house and take care of business. Of course, I didn't have a clue how to sew (29/m), but after a quick Youtube tutorial I knew I'd be alright.Not only did I sew those buttons like a master craftsman, but I thought about starting my own kickstarter campaign for some of the finest, handmade Japanese Indigo denim from a little town called Inglewo--Kidding...but the kit is exactly as pictured, and everything works as it should. I have absolutely no complaints.Enjoy.

The sewing kit is okay. The small scissors fall out and the needle threader was not in the holder. No list of items in the kit was included in the shipment, so I do not know if I got everything. The case is not very nice. But I can do small repairs.

This is a very great product for a portable sewing solution. It is compact, flat, and well-cased to easily fit into a handbag or small suitcase. The scissors are sharp, the thread quality and color is good, and other tools; needle, threader, etc are all durable. Excellent for travellers, or mobile sewing solutions.Much better than the average-class mobile sewing kits, and well-worth the price!
