Pretty Solid
This brand is a bit more pricey than say, the three pack of different sizes, but I've bought three of these [trying to find the right size I needed] and they feel a bit more quality than plain plastic like the others look. First one was too small but worked so easily after working out some kinks and getting the feel of it. I was worried about this one when it didn't clamp down all the way but a small shift in the spring that got unaligned and it was spitting out perfect circles like it was nothing [even better than the first one lmao]. Nice little thing for my use.At first, I didn't like how I couldn't see what I where I was punching on the papers, but it's not so hard to just flip it around to see so it was really a non issue.

Wow! So much better than I thought!
Wow! I was truly amazed. I have arthritis in my hands, I was diagnosed in my 30's and they have just gotten steadily worse. I used to scrapbook and using those other, oval shaped punches were difficult. I had a couple of punches from some scrapbooking party sales, and they were better made; I am still using them. I was skeptical.if this hole.punch, but it is so easy to compress. I did not fight with holding ut and pressing at the same time!! Then I got excited, wasn't paying attention and pinched the skin under my thumb. That hurt! So watch what you do, but it is so much easier to use and my punches were all cleanly cut! I did not have to go back and carefully fi ish uCutting them off. And I use aluminum foil to sharpen all of my punches and cutters. That is an old crafter's hack!

Tabletop punch for cardstock, but not sticker paper
Works fine for cardstock and printer paper, but was a no-go for printed sticker paper. Wouldn't punch completely through stickers on all sides and stickers got jammed inside every single time.Sleek design and otherwise easy to use, but must set on a flat surface and cannot hold in hand ergonomically to use.

Excellent for Filter Paper
Was hesitant due to negative reviews. However I couldn't be more pleased with this punch. I needed a tight fitting size piece of filter paper to use as a top to the tall K-Cup filters I use. This circular filter paper and the k cup filter makes using coffee grounds from a can a breeze both to use as well cleanup. It seals the top which puts a complete seal around loose grinds. Flip lid up after coffee makes and a quick flick of my wrist towards the garbage then quick rinse is all the cleanup needed. Note this is filter paper being used not tea bag like filtering media. I haven't attempted that and do not have a need too. Thankfully, although not a life altering device but definately a life pleasing good choice. Thanks to the manufacturer.

Garbage. Doesn't work.
My intent is to use this to cut perfect sized filters to go into the portafilter basket for making espresso. This unit was recommended on an espresso channel on YouTube as being exactly the right size. Unfortunately, mine arrived and the very first attempt to cut didn't result in a punched piece coming through, nor would it open again after that. I really worked at it and eventually pried it back open with a great deal of effort (and the locking mechanism was NOT engaged), but only after completely mangling the filter I was trying to cut, both the uncut portion and the cutout piece. I tried on several different kinds and thicknesses of paper including a single sheet of relatively lightweight laser printer paper. What I found is that this punch is poorly machined. The Cutting edge is pretty imprecise and fairly jagged and somewhat dull when you really examine it closely, and it doesn't fit very precisely to the other edge against which it is doing the cutting. One section of the "blade" is so badly machined and such a poor fit that it never ever succeeds in cutting through a piece of paper, but rather tears it in just the right way so as to get it immediately stuck firmly in the mechanism, locking the punch into a closed position with the newly shredded paper bits completely wedged between the "blade" and the other metal surface so that it's very stuck in the closed position. There is no technique to get a good cut, whether going at it slowly, swiftly, firmly, gently, or any combination. It just gets completely stuck every single time and will never produce a proper punch. Every piece of paper processed with it gets completely mangled. Returning to see if maybe I can get a good one. Otherwise I'll be seeing if anybody else makes a 2.25 inch paper punch.UPDATE: Second one arrived with exactly the same issues as the first. Cutting edge is uneven, not sharp enough in places, rips/shreds the paper rather than cutting it. The metal used on the blade is low quality relatively soft metal, not the sort that will hold an edge. Even then, you'd think their machinery could produce a decently even, sharp surface even if it doesn't last. This is useless right out of the gate. I couldn't get a single good cut from it, and the thing gets totally stuck from the wedged shredded paper every single time. Returning, and I'm now searching for another 2.25" round paper punch, which sadly looks to be a difficult item to find.
