This package is great, great output for 4 stones and extremely quiet.A future minor con may be the rubber feet, extremely small so wear will happen rather quick.My biggest gripe with this product is the cost of the replacement diaphragms. Just one of those products where they try to make a great deal of money from you after you buy the main product. I’d 3 Star it or less if I didn’t find other options but if you search online, you will find these diaphragms for $10 or less. $30 what they want will buy you a brand new air pump, I bought this for design and repair ability but may buy the $30 units in the future if getting a reasonable cost on the repair kits becomes a hassle.

Shipment was very fast. I ordered a few things from amazon including this so came all in one big amazon box. The box for this pump was split wide open, but is in excellent condition though. I have only tested it so far and it DOES pump out the air big time. The valves are a little stiff which is good because this lets me know they wont leak air. It is a little loud but I dont mind at all, plus, Im sure hooking up hoses with valves on will quiet it down some more, but if it doesnt, Im not complaining, because I didnt get it for noise level, I bought this for superior functionality. Which, this really appears to be.

This pump is truly amazing. For reference I had been using 2 18w eco air commercial pumps which were noisy but did the trick for 3-4 buckets. The watt meter showed 20w each. This thing is WHISPER quiet and puts out a ton of air! From 40w to 8w! It literally hovers between 7.9-8w. No idea why there aren’t more pumps like this. Definitely worth the extra few bucks per pump.

 Holy air flow! I've got a small hydroponics set up in my dining room to grow lettuce and veggies just for fun. I have (3) 4.5 gal totes and (1) 12 gal tote. I use cheap air stones and 2 different sizes at that.I have 2 bigger 8in stones and 4 small ball-shaped stones.Prior to this I used a 10 gal whisper air pump and a 50 gal aqua clear for my set up with some success. I was always annoyed with the noise (and I still am annoyed with it). That's why it's missing 1 star.I just set it up and literally have to turn it almost off to keep it from spraying water everywhere lol. It actually worries me to turn it so low because I worry about the added pressure on the pump and ruining the unit because of this. See the picture (if it attaches).I bought it used from amazon warehouse so the box is beat to death, and I don't have the instructions. The unit works, but clearly was a bit worse for wear.I noticed that when the hole on the top is covered it is WAY more quiet with no noticeable decrease in air flow. Is it an air intake, and will I fry the unit by putting tape over it? My guess is yes, but we'll see. There doesn't appear to be any cleanable/replaceable air intake filter.Again I'm in my dining room, so noise is a huge factor on whether I keep it or not. It certainly does its job of pumping air and, compared to ones I've bought (and returned) from local hydro stores, it does a way better job and it much more quiet. It is not as quiet as my old aquarium pumps, but if the plants like it well enough I may keep it and move them to the basement.Taking a video failed a couple times, but if it worked I meant to show the low setting I set it at, then on full blast, unplugged (to show the noise difference), and then plugged back in. All of this was filmed with that hole covered, which I'm guessing shouldn't be covered...

I've tried many brands of Bubblers and this is one of the best for the quantity & force of aeration it gives. It is not the cheapest, or the absolute most powerful, but it can run Four Aeration Stones vigorously for months. Like everything they do wear out eventually though, but you can self-repair them with one of their Dual Diaphram Kits for about $33; and afterward the pump will pretty much be 'Good as New' once again. I have tried much more powerful single outlet pumps that can be used with multiple outlet Manifolds, but they ALL are Very Loud, too loud for in-house use IMO.

((our opinion top pick so far A++++)) bottom line this pump puts out air the most air out of all listed and we found the best two pumps to be the Hydrofarm AAPA25L Air Pump with 8 or 6 Outlets and the winner for us is the General Hydroponics Dual Diaphragm Air Pump.1. this is the pump put out a lot of air compared to all the pumps tested on this review. Also this pump has 3 PSI The others have less so that's why this pump is more powerful.2. heavy duty well built also unit is heavy good sign good heavy duty motor.3. noise close or just a little louder than the Hydrofarm AAPA25L Air Pump with 8 ((* to us it is very quit))4. we will test the pump and see how long it runs before 1st break down will update later......tested: we bought (3) different pumps right here off amazon witch was a big help so we could get to the bottom line witch air pump pumps 1...) I grow DWC hydro. This pump is powerful, well built and super quiet. Don’t listen to the reviews complaining that the pump is loud. There are springs between the base of the pump and the body of the pump itself. This is a high quality feature as it absorbs vibrations, making this 7watt pump quieter than a 3watt pump. I have it hooked up to a couple of micropore air stones, and my 7 gal reservoir looks like it’s boiling. Awesome.
