So, I got this magnifying, lighted glass for removing splinters. Well, it magnifies and lights up area well. But it has no "stand" or any way of propping it up, so it's practically impossible to hold and adjust the position of this gadget while simultaneously operating tweezers with the same hand. It would be the same problem if you tried using this magnifying glass to work on tiny screws on glasses or watches; You have to hold the object in one hand and the tool in the other hand, so how would you hold the magnifying glass, also? I'm still giving it 5 stars, because it's not the manufacturer's fault that I didn't think of this problem before purchasing.

This little gadget was bought for an 80+ year old friend with macular degeneration making if hard to read and identify things. These have become an appendage for her. They r 5X magnification, which means the space is smaller but is truly is 5X. It has a light to help so uses batteries ... Lots of batteries. She now has one in each room plus in items for on the go. Easy to open and folds up pretty small.

Very good. The overall size is small enough for pocket or purse, while the magnifying glass surface is big enough to provide a clear, non-wobbly view. The light is a great feature and it conveniently turns on automatically when you slide out the glass. The key-chain is a nice bonus. Some thought really went into the design of this product. It’s very handy, reasonably price and excellent for reading expiration dates on goods at the supermarket.

Built in illumination comes in very handy when reading menus in dimly lit restaurants.Magnification is fine, but lens needs to be held at a level plane to the menu to prevent distortion and for clear focus.

Super handy magnifier. I use mine daily in the office and have bought more for nightstand etc. Highly recommend.A caution: when you replace the battery the little screw holding the battery access is super easy to drop and lose.

Love the magnifying glass with the light. Very helpful in those dim restaurants with fine print menus.

The sticker warning me not to eat the batteries was stuck to the black rubberized side of the unit. It was nearly impossible to get off, but worse, while cleaning it off I noted that the black from this rubber section comes off on your hands. It would stain any items kept along side it. Just something to keep in mind while storing it in a kit or purse.There is no way to use the magnifying glass without the light. Not deal breaker but you would hope.

Small enough to carry in your pocket and strong enough to help you see.
